do you just leave the velcro on the garage for good when you take off the screen?

That is totally up to the user if they wish to remove the Velcro.

Can this be used on a garage door that is 9ft wide and 8ft tall?

The Magic Mesh Garage door measures 84.5" tall X 109" wide which is approx 7 ft x 9 ft. In this case it would not fit the garage door of that size. For more helpful information please visit our Tips site at: https://magicmeshtips.com/

Can the garage door opener still work?

Yes the opener will work. Magic mesh mounted on outside frame of door. Sometimes the magnets get caught on garage door(if metal) when opening.I wont be purchasing another garage door magic mesh.I dont believe that the one I installed 1 month ago will make it to September.

Can a car go through it or only people sized?
