Finally the multi valve broke and I found myself in the market for a new filter. I found this pump and filter on desertcart for a price cheaper than replacing just the sand filter which was on my pool when the multi port valve failed. Note: the instructions tell you not to use this pump and filter for a permanent pool, so I cannot tell you that I put it on my permanent 18 foot diameter above ground pool. Installation took a few minutes. Make sure you have the proper diameter hose fittings, you can find Intex adapters here on desertcart if you have 1.25" fittings. You will also need to purchase the appropriate pool filter sand from a local source.
