They cut pine quarter round just as good as the trim saw and without launching the little sub 2 inch pieces from the saw. Unsure of how they would perform on hardwood material but they work great on pine. I'm very impressed

This has helped me put new quarter round in my whole house. Cutting on the miter can be dangerous plus all the back and forth outside sucks. I work so much more quickly with this tool largely with pine trim and a few pvc pieces. Obviously, the PVC is easiest to cut, use that in the bathrooms. But haven't had trouble with the pine either but have to squeeze a little bit tighter. I'm a woman and didn't have any issue using this tool, no matter what just ease into your squeeze. So glad I saw this demonstrated on a youtube video, probably the best thing I bought for my remodel. Why anyone would not use this knowing its out there would be crazy.
