Holds transmission gasket in place
I used this to hold the rubber transmission gasket that came on my Dorman pan for installation on a 2014 Ford F150. The assembly lube (which I believe is a thick, sticky silicone fluid) worked super well to keep the gasket in place. But remember this goes on the side of the gasket that sits on the pan (NOT on the side that bolts to the transmission). You spread it between the bolt holes very lightly. A little goes a loooong way.

Very thin stuff
This is very thin, so much so that about a 1/3 of it leaked out of the jar all over the box when I got it. It's clear it looks like very thin silicone lube. Seriously this probably is not what you're looking for if you're looking for a transmission assembly lube. I returned it immediately

The product is fantastic and provides great protection during assembly. Only disappointment is bottles always have loss due to leakage. They do have a manufacturer shrink seal around cap however a better container closure system needs to be implemented. Some bottles arrive 50% full and some are 80% full. Every time expect a wet sticky bottle!
