โThis book is like a kiss in the afternoon sun." โ Sheila Heti, author of How Should a Person Be? A tenth anniversary edition of the worldwide cult favorite, now with new material and illustrations. All Tom's friends really are superheroes. Tom even married a superhero, the Perfectionist. But at their wedding she was hypnotized to believe Tom is invisible. Six months later, she's sure Tom has abandoned her. With no idea Tom's beside her, she boards an airplane, determined to leave the heartbreak behind. He has till they land to make her see him. This tenth anniversary edition adds short stories, illustrations, and a foreword to the cult classic that has been a bestseller in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Sweden. Review: Don't we all have superhero powers?? - the title of this short story caught my attention. Written from the main character's point of view, as he navigates his relationships-giving other's nicknames that relate better to who they are rather than their given name. So clever! And such a study of human nature. Engaging, charming and even thought provoking. Review: Interesting way to read - It's unlike any point of view you've ever read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a quick read that you could finish in an afternoon.

Disappointed...
Not at all what I was expecting and was rather disappointed. It was highly recommended but is basically a tale of random superheroes with not so super of powers. Could have just been published as a list of awkward heroes or something. The actual story part of it is basically a short story that has been stretched by adding a bunch of the awkward hero names/powers

This could have been a new James Thurber story
Super Charming. Super Romantic. Super Short Read. Absolutely loved this very quick read. The characters are all flawed and wonderful and have super powers (except for Tom) and will all remind you of people you know (and yourself). The author's style reminded me a bit of my favorite Thurber stories. I'd love to see this as an animated short.

Quirky and Short
Very short and very quirky read. Nothing too profound, but fun and interesting perspective on human habits and personalities!

Not quite as lifechangingly awesome as the reviews
A very interesting and though-provoking read. I would've liked more plot with the superheroes rather than just introductions. Nonetheless, they are an interesting commentary on life and people. I recognized several folks I know, and saw a glimpse of myself.

Great book
Not as new as I thought it would be, but still fine.
