Baby Doggy LOVES these!
My baby girl, Xena, absolutely loves these treats. She is a very smart dog and is treat oriented. Not only do these treats stimulate her mind with the 3 layers of treat, they also are delicious to her. As her owner I like seeing simple ingredients that are good for my baby! The Pork & Duck was yummy but the hard Apple piece is Garbage!
So initially when I saw that these were made with pork, duck, and apple I thought oooh yummy! My dog will love these! And for the most part, she did... however, the apple piece on the inside is complete garbage. She eats the whole thing and leaves that part on the floor. And after looking at it, it honestly doesn't even look edible. It comes out in one hard piece and looks similar to a long skinny Jolly Rancher. She won't touch that part at all, and after reading other people's reviews, it looks like other people's dogs don't really care for the apple part either. I smelled it too and it has absolutely no scent.As for digestion, my dog hasn't had any tummy issues after eating these, so they seem to be fine as far as that goes.. she's an 80 pound Husky/Australian Shepherd and it takes her about 10 mins to eat these so I wouldn't necessarily call these long-lasting, but they're also not gone in one or two bites. If I had to guess I would say they're about 5 inches long and they came fresh in the package.I probably wouldn't buy these again just because of the hard, scentless, flavorless apple piece on the inside, but as I stated before my dog did love the pork and the duck on the outside, and I do like that they take her a bit of time to finish. I'm always looking for snacks for her that will last awhile, and I thought these would be a hit, but the apple part just ruins it in my opinion. Keep an eye on your furbabies while eating these too, as the hard apple inside could also be a choking hazard.
