The White House served the mammoth cheese, as it came to be known, on New Year’s Day, and for the next couple of years. THE COMPLETE DAIRY FOODS COOKBOOK is stuffed with information such as this along with dairy recipes and instructions on cheese and yogurt making. It also has an interesting section about the history of milk use and production. GREAT BOOKThis is a book I will use daily to make cream cheese, sour cream, yogurt, butter, buttermilk, soft and aged hard cheeses, not to mention keifer and whipped cream. I have a Jersey cow and herd of milk goats but  dairy products you purchase in the store can be made at home using  store bought milk.
