Stubborn, fragile, and (because they break so easily) expensive. There are instructions on the Amazon page, and they ended up working with significant effort. I bought two four packs. I ended up breaking a pin off of one, and when another one slipped while trying to press it in, the side randomly chipped off. For a product really intended to help save money and waste during the planting process, this fails at both. I was able to get 5 of these successfully installed. I had three spares and am down to 1.75ish. I have zero confidence about getting these removed intact and even less than that about one day reusing them if need be. I plan to just leave these in and buy another blocker if I need the same size with a different seed depth.

I have other dibblers for my soil blocker, just didn't have the bigger dibblers. Glad I have them and now have the complete set. They fit perfectly.

These pins enable small seedling transplanting into a soil block. I think this is an undersold idea - but it works great.

These are not staying in my soil blocker, the come out if there is any suction when lifting the blocker in a tray of moist soil. Then it takes some digging around to find them again.

The pins that came with the so called 2" blocker were much too short for anything but small seeds. These 1" long pins are what you need to plant things like peas, beans and corn in the soil blocks. The pins snap into place very easily, but they do tend to come loose a little too easily too. Otherwise i'd have rated them 5*.

These dowels are just slightly deeper than the default ones you get with the soil blocker. I intend to use them for things like corn or sunflowers when the time comes. The forming of the blocks works just fine AND you can pop them in and out just as easily. The plastic is strong but flexible at the connection point. Thank you!
