i knew incandescents weren't very bright but definitely make sure you know what it is. still an exceptional light, still love it.

The 3D incandescent Maglite puts out 47 lumens of light at full battery strength. If we are honest, we are not buying this device for the light output. I have a AA size LED light by another company in my pocket that puts out 50 Lumens on medium. Many of us have fond memories of Maglites. We also appreciate the fact that these lights can be used for protection against attackers. The 3D cell Maglite with the NON-LED, user changeable bulb design, is a great host for a very good flashlight. I use a battery adapter to run two 21700 Lithium Ion batteries in the light. This setup gives me 8.4 volts to power an integrated LED and reflector that simply replaces the stock bulb and reflector. The drop in that I chose provides about 500 lumens of light for over 4 hours of runtime. And the beam pattern is much better. I honestly think that the only reason that MagLite still makes these incandescent flashlights is for those of us who want to build our own flashlight using different LED's, reflectors, and batteries. If you want a good Maglite with good light output, look at their LED versions. If you use Alkaline batteries in your flashlights, be sure to change the batteries at least every 6 months. I have had Alkaline batteries destroy several flashlights of all brands when stored in my vehicle.

I have used these for years and have always had good success using them. I recently bought two of these for my girlfriend and a friend of mine for an upcoming camping trip. I’ve got one that is 20 plus years old and still works like a champ! What is good about these is that they are easily upgraded to LED and they are repairable when they do experience an issue. There is plenty of support from Maglite and how to videos on YouTube to repair these, so don’t throw your flashlight that the batteries leaked in or are stuck in! There is plenty of ways to repair the flashlight! So yeah it’s not comparable to a modern flashlight, but you’re going to get a light that will last for years and unlike some manufacturers, make a light that can be repaired.

The flashlight is solid as you would expect from a MagLite. The 3-D light is not too heavy and brighter than the 2-D light version so a good overall choice. It should last for many years. Flashlight arrived quickly and is an official Maglite product in its original packaging as shown in the product description.

Giving it a 1 Star Rating, Why ? They could make it better-Good Quality Flashlight ? No doubt, one of the best out there, but way overpriced in this version IMO. The standard bulb that comes in it is woefully inadequate, - there are brighter ones out there but with the price being paid they should be giving You the top of the line bulb that is being made Today for the Consumer without Us having to consider getting an upgrade for it. There are a lot of Flashlights for sale out there fm various Companies that are looking to take the lead in sales (jess' sayin'). I really like the idea of just a plain on/off button (which this one is) w/o the strobe, blinking, etc, etc.-that's all You need. Good Flashlight, Quality Build, with just a couple of quirk's. I already own one of their mini mag's, so I do believe in Their Product. Best, PawPaw C Update : I had considered purchasing one of the L.E.D. upgrades for the Maglight, but You're looking at at least $20. more to do so if You go with 1 of the better ones, so We started looking for another Brand of Flashlight due to the POOR Beam given fm. the Maglight. We found the KunHe Atlas Brand Flashlights & actually got them on sale (currently) & paid LESS for the TWIN pack of the KunHe Atlas Flashlights than for the single Maglight. Both have Aluminum Exterior, Knurled shaft, 3 D size Battery capacity & adjustable beam, BUT ck out the photo supplied as to the dialed in spot beam-the Maglight is on the left & KunHe on the right - the Maglight is not even close BUT it is more expensive ! You decide, I did.

It's a good product BUT I purchased unknowingly...thought it was a LED torch....will now keep it for home use and look for another LED torch.

今まで使っていたのが点灯しなくなったので、20数年ぶりに買い替えました。落したくらいでは壊れないので安心して使えます。

I put new batteries in and the light was so weak I was convinced there was an issue with them, so I replaced them with another three new batteries from a newly opened pack… nope, just a dull light. It’s about 1/4 as bright as my iPhone light. Very disappointed.

È la seconda torcia che prendo, la precedente nonostante fosse usata si comportava bene.......a causa della mia sbadataggine dimenticai le batterie all'interno, il risultato? Si sono scaricate, si sono gonfiate emettendo acido, con la conseguenza che si sono letteralmente fuse con il cilindro della torcia, alla fine dovetti buttarla nei rifiuti speciali! Rinunciai all'idea di estrarle, anche se su YouTube è PIENO di modi per estrarre le batterie e sono tutti(o quasi) validi, dal più semplice al più complesso!!! Il mio consiglio è, in caso vogliate comprare questo oggetto, ogni volta che la riponete da parte per molto molto tempo, togliete le batterie sempre, credetemi ne vale la pena. Io invece le toglierò tutte le volte che sia a breve o lungo tempo! Torcia valida, pesante come piace a me e potente! Se non vi piace il genere, cercate altro!
