Complete Set of Access to Qur'anic Arabic Course Materials (CD'S NOT INCLUDED) Access to Qur'anic Arabic - Textbook Access to Qur'anic Arabic - Workbook Access to Qur'anic Arabic - Selections 1. Access to Qur'anic Arabic & Textbook The Textbook covers the basic grammar and structure of Arabic using Qur’anic words, phrases and sentences throughout. It is also based on the principle of word frequency in the Qur'an. It uses three Word Lists – with words occurring over 100 times, between 50 and 100 times and between 25 and 49 times in the Qur’an. This approach has two benefits. Users will not be burdened with a very large vocabulary from the outset, and with non-Qur'anic vocabulary. By mastering the select vocabulary, they will be able to understand much and quickly. The page layout and design of the book should make it easy to follow. 2. Access to Qur'anic Arabic & Workbook This Workbook has stimulating exercises for each of the 40 Units of the Textbook and gives much-needed practice in grammar, structure and meaning. Again, only vocabulary and actual sentences from the Qur’an are used in the Workbook. At an early stage, students are also introduced to un-vowelled Arabic text which can only be read accurately with a good knowledge of Arabic grammar and structure. 3. Access to Qur'anic Arabic & Selections This book of annotated Selections from the Qur'an has passages that feature the select vocabulary and illustrate points of grammar, structure and style covered in the Textbook with some additional material included. The 110 selections are presented with parallel translations, notes and vocabulary in an attractive and easy to use format.A special feature of the Selections book is the combined Vocabulary List of words occurring over 25 times in the Qur'an. This Course is for those who can read and write the Arabic script.

An excellent course for the beginning or intermediate student.
This course covers material that the beginning student needs to be able to gradually advance to an intermediate level where verbs are covered in detail. Each chapter builds up on the knowledge imparted in the previous ones. The student easily absorbs new grammatical concepts with each chapter covered with the help of wonderful examples, most of which being verses of the Quran. The exercises are built to thoroughly fix the concepts in the students mind. The course can be studied at your own pace. A target for completion in one year is an achievable goal, which translates to a chapter covered in a week or a little more. Other than the words covered in the examples in each chapter, the vocabulary covered in the 3 word lists given in the text will take you a long way in understanding what you read of the Quran. The selections provide additional vocabulary which is very useful building your word base. The only criticism about the course that I have is that if you are doing the course on your own, you do need the solution key to the exercises in order to correct your understanding as you progress. Although this key is promised to purchasers of the course free of charge, as a PDF file I was unsuccessful in obtaining it from the seller despite repeated attempts to contact them.

I benefited so much!
I absolutely love the textbook and Quranic Selections book. I have benefited immensely from them. Most powerful and useful are the Quranic Arabic vocabulary lists. There is a list which includes words appearing in the Quran a 100 times or more, then another list of words appearing 75-100 times and then a third list of words appearing 50 to 75x. Learn those lists and you will understand so much of the Quran! Also the Quranic selections in the green book are chosen because they use this most frequent vocabulary. Study the words and then reinforce by studying the selections. I love the textbook because on the left page is a grammar lesson and then on the right page are about 15 different snippets of Quran ayahs where that grammar point is found. Its grammar and Quran TOGETHER. For someone who does not have Quranic Arabic grammar background the lessons are a very good overview. ( Caution however that the third or fourth lesson on nominative/accusative/genitive cases is a bit hard. Don't let it discourage you.)
