A super sharp citrus zester, and must have for home chefs. I have a larger plane, but it is loosing its sharpness. This plane is narrow and long and provided with a brush for easy cleaning. The handle is ergonomic and sturdy. One up and down pass grates to the white of the zest. I usually wash it by hand but I have put it in the dishwasher on the top 3rd rack without any loss of sharpness and stays bright and clean without spots. I hope it will last me several years, the previous one lasted me about 5 good years staying sharp while it still works it does not good a very good job as it used too. The price of this grate was very fair for the quality and of course this would make a good gift.

This zester is fantastic! It’s sharp, easy to handle, and makes quick work of citrus, cheese, or even chocolate. The fact that it comes with a cleaning brush and protective cover is a huge bonus—keeping it clean and safe is effortless. The orange handle helps prevent slipping. This helps me get that perfect citrus taste! The brush gets into every little groove without hassle, and the cover protects the blade (and my fingers!) when it’s in the drawer. Thoughtful design, excellent performance, and great value. Highly recommend for any kitchen!

i have a small one inch zester and it kinda works...but this product is really worth the money. it holds the zest and runs quickly over the lemons and oranges. havent tried it on other produce..yet. i recommend this.

Absolutely love this zester! We cook Hello Fresh meals and it seems like we're always having to zest. This tool makes it easy to do. Cleans up in the dishwasher like a dream. I have the wide zester, and I keep the cover on it in the drawer.

I was using a long, skinny Microplane zester for zesting lemons and oranges, and for grating parm. While it did a marvelous job on citrus, for parm it was quite tedious. This Pro-Zester Grater, on the other hand, is perfectly suited for the job - it is short and wide with a just-right handle, and has deep tines to grate hard cheese; it takes much less effort to get the amount of cheese you need for a recipe. Don’t use this grater to zest lemons, though - those deep tines dig too deep into a lemon rind: you’ll end up with bitter pith. Stick with the MicroPlane for that.

We were looking to upgrade a plain, 20 year old zester/grater and came upon this one during Prime Days. We love the handle color, the ample size of the grating area (roughly 3in x 7in), and the rubber coated end piece that serves as a "square" brace to press on the countertop for added stability. The zesting blades are very sharp and the shred lemons perfectly for desserts and such. It would likely be too fine of a grate to do any soft cheeses but should work well for parmesan, swiss, etc.
