Fit on dyna FXDWG 2011
I bought it with the doubt that it would be compatible with my dyna wide glide FXDWG motorcycle and surprisingly it is, no problem when installing, you just have to be very patient to install it, you must remove the rear lights (FXDWG 2011 model) and reinstall them later to place the bases of the sissy bar. It comes with everything you need, it took me 1 hour with my son's help, it may take longer to do it alone and you may risk scratching the paint. My wife feels very comfortable with the backrest. good quality and well painted!

Installed on my 2021 fxbbs
Installed this in my 2021 fxbbs knowing it wouldn't fit. I just used a 1/2 drill bit to install an extra hole. Didn't bother cutting the access off the back due to saddle bags covering and it kind of flows with the curve always. Worth the extra work than paying $200 more for softail sissy bar that wasn't in stock for another month. Replaced hardware that was given with black bolts for cosmetic reasons not quality issues like others have complained about

Little modification, easy installation
Actually not a bad sissybar. Took about 20 minutes to install. I used my cut off wheel and notched out the holes and slid the brackets over the bolts and wiring, tightened and installed bar. Done quick and easy. The directions are no good. I've read people disassembling quite alot. Just notch them out and the brackets will slid right in. Pretty sturdy bar. My daughter is very comfortable on the bike now.

Lots of work. Does not fit without minor refab, but can work. (2012 FXDWG)
Believe the other reviews that say you have to drill out the holes and that they don’t line up with the blinker wires, because both of those statements are very true. If you’re prepared to do the following then it’s a decent bar for the money. I wish someone had told me this when I bought this particular sissy bar: 1. Remove the shocks 2. Jack the bike up 3. Remove the bolts from the fender that connect inside the stalk of the turn signals 4. Remove the bolts that hold the frame covers on each side between the driver seat and the tail end 5. Disconnect the turn signal wires under the seat Remove the turn signals entirely, wires and all, from the bike 6. Remove the plastic wire brackets from inside the rear fender 7. Drill the two rear holes each to about the size of a nickel, because the rear mounting hole isn’t in the right spot and the wire hole isn’t large enough to fit the wire plug through when putting everything back together (The following is for each side) 8. Hold the mounting bracket between the frame and the fender 9. Replace the inner fender wiring bracket and line the tunnels up with the bracket holes and the exterior frame cover 10. Pull the wires all the way through and remount the turn signal 11. Insert the front-most bolt into the cover so it’s now mounted to the frame. 12. Run the wires along the inside of the fender, ensuring they’re tucked inside the interior fender mounting bracket and all the way up to where the connect under the seat (Repeat steps 8-13 on the other side) 13. Reconnect the wires 14. Lower the bike to where you can reinstall both shocks 15. Done with the brackets Then, the screws that affix the bar to the brackets are basically mush. You’ll strip them just by screwing them in. Plus, they’re long and ugly so you might as well just get some black ones that are 1/4” shorter before you start anyways. Hope this helps!

Looks just like the picture
It is simple to install I thought it might’ve been too tall but it was perfect my passenger loves it and it looks good on my dyna 10/10 would recommend

Description was wrong
I purchased this to fit my 2001 wide glide after seeing the pictures that show 6 1/2 inches wide where it mounts to the uprights. It was actually 8 and 1/2 and would not fit my bike. I see the description says for 06 and later thought I would give it a try since the pictures showed the width but the measurement page was wrong. Had to return it.

Great item for the price
This was amazing great products easy to install and very happy with the way it made my bike look. The mounting screws could be a little bit more secure oh, but they get the job done would definitely recommend it if someone's looking for a cheaper alternative
