Seems to be a step up from the popular Rexbeti
I've got both, the display is significantly larger on this one and noticeably easier to read with a wider viewing angle. The anvil side is slightly narrower than the Rex so it is possible to insert it into narrow openings further. The control scheme and indicators are easier to understand than the Rex, but you'd only notice if you also had the Rex, both are easy to use. It uses a standard 2032 battery which is common unlike the Rex, and I found the battery easy to insert with the provided tool which has a dedicated slot in the case although a quarter will do in a pinch. Unlike other reviews on mine after it shuts itself off when you turn it back on it has the same zero, so I'm guessing they fixed that. At the moment it is also on sale for $10 less than the Rex so I'm buying a 2nd as a spare. It seems like a bargain at this price. The bad news? The 1st one was spot on cal, the 2nd was off by .00025". I'll send the 2nd one back and see how the 3rd one is, still happy enough that I want 2 of them.

ease of use
nice, accurate and easy to use. I personally just use this to confirm measurements to verify my quality departments measurements during material review board meetings. The measurements have so far been the same as my quality departments, who use calibrated tools

Just Out of the Box Thoughts
First irritation was that the battery cap had a slight burr and was difficult to get off. The major irritation is the poor english instructions. There are parts that are so bizarre I can't even guess what the meaning is. However from a functional perspective, I'm pleased. The first few attempts at checking the zeroing at the closed point returned values + / - .007 mm. However, the instrument settled in and returned consistent zeros. So far, so good.

Off calibration
My mics were off calibration by + .0003. Decent for reference work but not for actual work to be put through my job. Mics are supposed to turn on to a part and then click 3 times to get an accurate reading. They didn't do that. They turned on to a part and kept on clicking

Great value
Amazing that such a fine instrument is so affordable. I measured a few Mitutoyo gauge blocks and the tool (the one that I got, anyway) is in perfect agreement with the reference dimensions etched on the blocks. Incredible.
