Action Carpet Knife

This is the heavy duty classic Orcon Action Carpet Knife. I first was handed one of these in 1979 and it has been the knife of my choice ever since. It has easy open body with a "wing screw" (no tools required to tighten and loosen) to change blades. No, boys and girls, the blade does not retract with a fancy slider mechanism. This knife is old school (best kind in my opinion). If you want to remove the blade you have to open the body and put it in the storage area within the hollow handle. Only takes 5 seconds when you get the feel for it. Stores up to 9 blades .017 of an inch in thickness. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I don't understand why the carpet outlet stores don't carry this knife anymore. I was so happy to see I could order this knife online. This knife makes a world of difference when installing carpet professionally. I can switch out a blade in about 5 to 7 seconds. With any other knife it takes up to a full minute. Unexceptable. I recommend this knife to all installers. This is an old school knife. If your used to the new knifes these days, I say try it anyways and you will be amazed.

Horrible to lose my 18 year old one, but this is the same, can't be beat.

This thing is perfect. Sturdy, easy to change blades, fits well in the hand. Does not include blades, as it states, so make sure you buy them separately.

THE ONLY WAY TO GO IF YOU DO A LOT OF RAZOR CUTTING. THE CUTTERS ARE RAZORS. THEY STAY SHARP. FOR EACH BLADE, AFTER YOU FLIP THEM AROUND, THERE ARE FOUR FRESH CUTTING EDGES. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATIONS. NO RESERVATIONS.

I have used these knifes for 14 years now in my area they cost 20 dolars to order and ship and I paid 14 out of all the knifes I've used this is by far my fravorite and so glad to have another one
