Great bow, even better for the price.
I received my bow a few days ago, and threw it together in a flash. The quality feels great, it's balanced, solid construction, nice wood. Stringing this bow ALONE (I had to) can be pretty difficult if you don't find a way to get good leverage, but with a friend (Just to slip the string on the other end) it should be no problem for anyone. As far as strength goes, this bow packs a punch. From about 15-20 yards I sank a bolt 6" into a full grown strong willow tree, needless to say it's not coming out. I've used this for pest control (Groundhogs, Raccoons, other annoying things that want to eat my chickens) and it's more than enough, I'd believe with some good bolts and proper broad-heads you could use this as a cheap cheap hunting weapon. I don't doubt it could kill a deer. The arrows are definitely practice arrows, aluminum and not high quality, but there's nothing wrong with them. For $8 you can get another 6-pack and have plenty for target shooting. Alot of people said they've had their arrows bend, and this will happen over time, but my arrows are all still straight as can be. The bow is VERY accurate (Damn near hit my 1st bolt on the 2nd shot) and the iron sights are pretty good. The scope that comes with is the same quality you'd find on a cheap $80 pellet gun, not very good but does the trick. I'd recommend a better scope if you're not an iron sight type person. Overall this is a great bow, obviously not your super top of the line $1,200 professional hunting compound crossbow with auto-cocking foot massager, but for the price and the quality you really can't beat this deal. Replacement strings are inexpensive, replacement arms are inexpensive, and the bow itself is solid. Highly recommended for sport or just for fun.

Serious Crossbow
When the Amazon box first arrived and I opened it to reveal the Crossbow box inside I thought I made a mistake. It looked like I had bought a toy. However, when I pulled everything out the first thing I noticed was the quality of the components. The wood stock is very nice, very solid. The aluminum rail is well machined and affixed to the stock flawlessly. The prod is solid as well as are all the bits that came in the box. Stringing the crossbow is very difficult. I went ahead and bought the stringer and it did make it a lot easier to string. One thing, the brace height needs to be 3 1/4". So, twist that string a bunch on one side or the other before you put it on. Also, wax that string really well before you take your first shot and then wax it every 30 or so shots after that. That will insure a long life for the string. Also, lube that rail with some silicone based lubricant. That will also help the string last a long time. You'll need to make sure to measure brace height and keep it at around 3 1/4". You measure from the middle of the prod to the middle of the string. I dropped a 4x32 mil-dot scope on my crossbow and it shoots 1" groups at 15 yards all day long. I shoot 2219's with 125 grain field tips for target, 125 grain 3 blade broadheads for real hunting and 150 grain blunts for small game. This crossbow is not a toy and is fully capable of taking deer sized game at 40 yards.

great toy
Hi y'all I received this item this morning and I have to say yee haw this little thing is a fun little adult toy... yes TOY! Yes it is powerful enough to kill something but so is my bb gun... easy to assemble instruction on back of box if you need them... easy to string easy to pull back easy to shoot... mine came with 8 bolts all of them are almost straight and great for shooting at a good foam target (Walmart sells foam archery targets for $17) I suggest getting one...This is far from a real crossbow but well worth the $100 for back yard shooting... quality build for the money and with a little patient's sighting it in it is surprisingly accurate scope is a cheap bb gun / 22 scope but nice enough for this thing although it is not powerful enough for a scope... but with knowledge of windage and elevation you can use it to take out a full can of soda from 100yrds ! I highly recommend this for cheap stress relief just make sure to order bow wax with it... and make sure you wax string after every use and check all screws before use...

Not bad, but you can find better
I picked this one because of the wood stock and the scope. It shoots well, if a little high. What I don't like is that the directions for assembly and usage are so sparse they might as well have left out instructions completely. To fixed sights stick up too far to attach the scope - I have yet to be able to figure out how to remove the fixed sights so that I can attach the scope.
