It just the right size, it freezes solid when you put it in a bag and throw it in a freezer, but it softens just right when it's in a drink. It's also great to have ice available so quickly. The first couple of dumps are small, but it freezes quickly, so it's not long until you have ice, if you forgot to make some in advance.
