Kia Soul 2013
It worked perfectly with my Kia Soul 2013. My mechanic used his scanner to program it, so easy to paired. Perfect fit.

2011 Kia Soul - Does Not Work
Does not work for Kia 2011 Soul. Took it to a reputable lock smith who spent around half an hour trying to get it programmed to no success.

Worked!!! On a 2013 Kia Soul+
Reading the reviews I was a little skeptical of it would actually work. Seemed like a 50/5 shot. Decided to buy it, took the car and fob to a Kia Dealer to program, $60 to program whether it worked or not. Or a new fob $230 plus $60 program fee... decided to risk the $60. Annnnnd it worked!!! ahhh that was a good day, look on the dealers face was priceless, he said “Guess you got a good one” So, I feel it’s worth the gamble, this worked on a 2013 Kia Soul+ . One con, the key does not “flip” out well, but once cut to fit key it is functional.

Saved the day and the days to come
I was down to one key fob. When the original key broke off In the ignition, I thought I could manage. Well, not if you lose it or misplace it. I went thru the house last minute panicked because I could not find my one usable key, which usually was hidden in plain site. I decided I needed at least one back up. Ace Hardware wanted $225 for one. I thought there has to be a better way. I came her on Amazon and I found these for $25 each one. I decided to buy 2! The next feat was to find someone that could actually cut the key and program it. I consulted a few places like Autozone. They could not. I called a local locksmith. They gave me a quote and I contacted another who also gave me a quote. The 3rd one said they have to come to my house to give me a quote. The 3rd said a ridicules price. I laughed and I told them the quote from the other locksmith and they matched it. 20 minutes later I have 2 new key fobs. It was great and I would buy from here again. I know some other people did not have my experience but if you find the right locksmith, then it will be awesome for you too.

Key fob not the problem -- it is Kia itself
Unsure of fob's effectiveness -- Kia can't program it. So now I have to open door with the key itself in the lock (wintertime is fun with frozen locks). I can't open the back trunk door without opening the driver's side door, putting key into the ignition and pushing forward like I am going to start the engine to release the door locks to open! Very time-consuming and very awkward. I can't help that my vehicle is 14 years old and Kia only makes enough for demand. This is the last Kia (even used) that I will purchase.

Works Great. Shop around for programming and key cut.
Bought this for a 2013 kia soul. I brought it to the dealership. They charged 97 dollars to program. However they wouldn't cut the key because I didn't purchase it from them. I brought it to a local locksmith they charged me 5 dollars to cut the key. Shop around for prices. One locksmith wanted to charge me 165 for program and 35 for cutting the key. The key and the fob work great and I saved myself 300 dollars. The dealership wanted 400 to purchase it from them.

Came in time.
Easy to get key cut, but had to go to dealer to program key. Not able to program fob. Still better than $500 from dealer.

Did not work....do not buy!
I bought this knowing that, based on other reviews, that this may not work. I figured I would take a chance given how much Kia charges to replace a key and fob. Unfortunately, when I took it to an auto locksmith he was not able to program it. I was with him when he did this and he showed me what his programming machine was doing....or not able to do. He said that US and Canadian chips are different and figured that may be the issue In the end, he was able to provide me with a new, fully cut and programmed key and fob for $140, which is likely less than what the total cost of buying this useless fob and getting it programmed would cost. Buyer beware!
