Can anyone tell me how much chlorine is actually removed?

Actually, I don't know exactly how much chlorine the Culligan FM-15RA Level 3 removes.The filter removes enough chlorine, that I do not taste any chlorine; even after three months.Remember: Less then $10 per month, great tasting water, and a very small environmentalfootprint.

Can I use this with my FM-25 unit (it's not a FM-25R model)

This is specifically FOR the FM-25 unit. FM-25 is the model number of the mounted filter housing and FM-25R is the model number of the replacement filter cartridge. R=Replacement.On a side note, you can also use the FM-15RA cartridge if you don't mind the slightest bit of white on the bottom. You don't see it unless your eye level is below the filter. The cartridges are exactly the same, except for the small section of chrome coloring on the FM-25R.

Has anyone figured out an easier way to change filters? It takes forever. I twist and pull with pliers and tear up the old one pretty badly.

I haven't had that issue - I can usually twist it out with my fingers and place the new filter in in no time. Maybe the filter housing (the thing that the filter sits in) needs to be changed or is defective.

Does this filter remove pest and herbicides?
