Although both are great for breaking in new gloves, there is a slight difference. The oil is better for that initial break-in, whereas the conditioner keeps the leather maintained over time (after use). **Q: Does this act as a cleaner as well?** A: No, our experience it’s going to keep the leather in at you’re preferred feel. If you have non preferred substances on the leather, I would use the Sarna Spike/Shoe Cleaner. The smell is pleasant and it appears to work well. I have used on my car seats as the smell is enjoyed by the fam. **Q: Would this discolor a white glove?** A: No, our leather conditioner does not alter coloration. **Q: Have 2 white gloves.
