Walker Standard EPA 15038 Universal Catalytic Converter 2.5" Inlet (ID) 2.5" Outlet (ID) for Ford Ranger

I was unsure about buying this but it worked great night and day difference for performance cleared code p0420 in no time got a muffler shop to weld her up for 80 bucks emissions place is like 25min down the road from there and she passed all in all if your on the fence to buy this i would say its a great option cheap and good quality 2001 dodge ram 1500 3.9 2x4

Bought this converter to replace the original one on my B2500 that had 220,000 miles on it. Installation is pretty simple if you know how to weld. Had to add on some extra pipe as this unit is shorter than OEM. The ID of the inlet and outlet is 2.5 inches so it slips right over the 2.5 inch OD pipe. I've put a few hundred miles on it so far and the computer seems happy. Seems like there's a little more power on the lower end of the rev range than with my old converter.

It fit well and was fairly easy to install on my 78 ford f350

A great combination of design, price, and functionality. The small physical size of this catalytic makes for ease of installation, which was a breeze and took me about 90 minutes using only one adapter costing $5, a section of exhaust pipe costing $7, and 3 muffler clamps. This catalytic completed the other side of dual exhausts where there wasn't one. I also passed emissions after this was installed, whether that contributed or not, but I believe it did. Recommended

Needs welding but that is obvious if you use these types of converters. These are Hi Flow converters. Excellent gas treatment. Lower Oxygen value readings than when car was brand new. So works perfectly... Due to higher flow, more torque than before and engine runs as smooth as it could, with a lower fuel consumption... I did change all 4 Oxygen sensors when I changed the converters...

This catalytic converter is listed as being 15.8” in the description; it is not! I ordered this item based on this length (along with saying it fits my vehicle), and it’s a full 2-1/2” shorter. Even the dimensions on the Walker box list the length as only 13-1/4”.

My vehicle failed the emissions test which is required here in the state of Delaware, on three different occasions even though I replaced multiple parts to assist in getting through inspection. Last resort was a new catalytic converter, upon removal of the old one discovered it was completely clogged, replaced with new one and drove through inspection, my vehicle passed with flying colors, very good product, would purchase again if need be, thank you Amazon

2.5" inlet and outlet. This is a 2 stage catalytic converter so it does NOT matter which direction it is installed. I added this to my 1981 CJ7 with a 2" to 2/5" adapter from the down tube off the manifold. I then used a piece of 2.5" OD (outside diameter) pipe from Autozone to marry up the adapter to the cat. From the cat to the muffler, I again used a piece of 2.5" OD (outside diameter) pipe as a resonator. The exhaust smell and suffocating toxins have been reduced by 90%. I can now drive with the top and doors off and not have to get a headache from the horrible exhaust. For the price and ease of install, I cannot imagine spending more money for a part that does the same thing.

Great converter! Got rid of the horrible gas smell and excessive noise my car was producing and reduced the exhaust smoke! I purchased this as the previous owner of my car removed the cat therefore creating a lot of noise, smoke, smell, and horrible gas mileage. I have high hopes for this converter as I’m already seeing great results. Got it installed for only 80$ and fit perfectly on my 98 Lexus es300.

Turned up 2 days early - fab Condition - perfect Only problem is now I nneed to return it because the pipe bores on both sides are huge, more like a Subaru's exhaust than a BMW

The fact that the inlet and outlet are both 2 1/2 inside diameter made it really easy to instal.
