So happy with my Elite Screen. It’s such great quality and helps my projector output the best image possible. I wanted a pull down screen as it’s over a door, so wanted to have the option to be able to put it up and down quickly if someone or myself want to enter or exit the room. It was super easy to install and I’m so impressed with the quality of the screen itself as it’s a much nicer material than ones I’ve had previously from other brands. I also love that when you retract the screen back up, it doesn’t just snap up, which may damage it, but it has attention that takes it up quickly, but not too fast, keeping everything in place and protected. It’s amazing value for money and at this price point, it can’t be beaten, so highly recommended.

I was going nuts looking at every projector screen on Amazon and other sites (for several months), and kept working my way up to $500-$1000 automatic screens. I finally took a step back, and thought about what I really needed / wanted. MY NEEDS: - Simple, idiot proof operation, for myself and guests - No hunting around for remotes - Lightweight for easy 1 person installation - Black Background for light blocking from background devices - High Reflection Rate (but not too bright) - 100 inch overall diagonal size - Something good enough for my 1080p / 3D projector - Attractive enough for my unfinished basement / rec. room - Nothing so expensive that I will get upset when my rowdy nephews break it - A good upgrade from a stretch fabric screen (that my nephews already got pool table chalk on) UNFOUNDED CONCERNS FROM OTHER REVIEWS: - Well packaged, no dents in boxes or case - No Strong Odor - No Wrinkle in the Screen SETUP: In my case, my basement is unfinished so I wanted the screen mostly tucked out of the way into rafters/ceiling joists. My ceiling is also on the lower side, so it was easy to hang / install myself. I ended getting some adjusting projector hanging brackets ($14) to make it a little easier to level. I also needed to mount the screen between the joists so I needed the brackets to move the project away from the wall. I have a 65” TV for everyday TV and Gaming. I needed the screen far enough out so that I could pull it down in front of the TV when I want a more immersive experience. TIPS: Maybe it goes without saying, but I was very careful to make sure the screen was as level as I could get it, and perfectly square with my projector and the wall behind. This way it stays in focus across the entire screen. I also had to move my projector to make sure it was centered on the screen. IMPRESSIONS (so far): I LOVE IT. MY WIFE LOVES IT. MY SON LOVES IT. We have already elevated our family movie nights, and I’m loving watching NFL Playoff games on a 100 inch screen while I write this review. It has met or exceeded my expectations on every level. I could not be happier with this purchase. RECOMMENDATION: Skip all the bells and whistles of other screens, get something that works right every time. Stop making yourself crazy and just get this screen.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I have little experience with projector systems. I have been involved with Home Theater since the early 90s but never lived with a projector system before. In my room with a moderate amount of light control, this screen is brilliant. I've been using it for just over six months and I still have moments where I am just completely immersed in the viewing experience. The higher gain of the screen makes it casually usable with the room lights on but sacrifices the deepest blacks even in full dark. With my projector and to my eyes, I get good contrast and visual depth but no one will confuse this with an OLED. Mounting was easy and it has been stable ever since. Even when left down for a week or more, the screen still retracts smoothly and fully. In my room, the screen covers the only window so being able to retract it to get my view back is a welcome option. If you have the screen in front of a window, you will need a blackout curtain or shade or you will wash out the picture when the Sun hits from the back. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. This screen has kinda spoiled me and now I want to upsize the other TVs now. If I ever feel the need to upgrade, I'll be sure to give Elite Screens another shot.

I recently did an AV upgrade at my house that included adding a projector to Zone 2 (my backyard). I got this screen to mount on my back porch. At first, I chose it because it was fairly cheap and fit the dimensions I needed. After looking around some more, I realized there aren't a whole lot of options for manual pull-down screens on the market. That being said, Elite Screens offers a number of options that go up in features, quality, and price accordingly. My first impressions of this screen were not great. Carrying it in the box you could hear the springs bouncing around. I worried I would have trouble like some other reviewers did with it not "sticking" when pulled down. These worries were unfounded because mine was fine. I then remembered that I paid less than $80 for this screen and it sure looks a lot better than a white sheet pinned up to the columns. I decided to use eye hooks screwed into the ceiling with S hooks to connect to the screen. This worked great and now I can remove the screen when not in use. With the humidity and weather swings we have, this is almost necessary. Hanging it went smoothly. When I pulled it down for the first time, I had those same feelings that this is not a top-quality product, but once it was down, those feelings changed. I noticed the edged curved in a bit, but I didn't see the wrinkles others saw at the bottom. The curved edges were not noticeable when an image was projected on the screen. I like the black borders on the sides. I was expecting the same borders on the top and bottom, but they weren't there. At first, this bothered me, but again, when an image was projected on it, it looked great! Man, this thing looks great. I'm using a BenQ MW665 projector running all my sources from a Denon AVR X4000 (Zone 2) through a Belkin ScreenCast AV4 wireless HDMI Splitter. That allows me to project Blu-Ray, Cable, Chromecast, AppleTV, etc. without running an HDMI outside. I have cedar beams in my den, so I'm thinking about putting the same eye hooks and S hooks on them so I can mount the screen inside over my TV. If you're worried about the quality of this screen, remember 2 things: 1.) This is a $75 dollar screen and 2.) If you're careful and don't yank it around a lot, it will last a long time.

Really pleased with this screen so far. I bought it for an outdoor pool party this summer, along with a cheap $150 DVD quality projector. I wasn't going for anything high end, just something to play some music videos on while the party was going on. After the pool party I also put some hooks in the ceiling in my kids' room (ages 2 and 4), and they love having little movie nights with huge movies playing in their room. It is a good distraction for them, especially when we have multiple families over with lots of kids, as they can have their own little movie room going separate from the adults. It is light and easy to move around between the two spots that I installed hooks, although I am 6'1" so that helps. My screen is pretty smooth and flat, I have to look very closely to find any kind of waves as others have reported. I guess each screen can be different, but I am happy with the one I got. Unless I look from the side with a light source at an angle, I can't see any waves. I certainly don't have any waves that I can notice looking straight at the screen or while watching a video, and after 6 months haven't noticed any changes. Maybe if I had a high end projector and this was my main source of tv or movie watching, then I would invest in a more expensive screen to be certain I had a very flat surface, but for my casual use this screen works great. It rolls up and down very smoothly, but makes sure to assist it back up and not let it go, or it will retract very quickly and violently. It does have the very strong "chemical" smell the first few days, but it has gone away now and I don't smell anything even using it indoors. Overall a very solid screen for the price.

Super worth the price. It’s very sturdy and rolls up and down perfectly. We just used the screws that came with it and it feels solid and have no worries it about it falling. The projector looks great on it. We opted for a cheaper projector for the time being ~$200. Glad we went with this instead of a tv as it saves so much space.

I have been using this screen for a couple weeks now, and it is easy to install and does not produce any glares with my projector. It fit perfectly. The size was perfect. Everything was provided for me to install, and it only took a matter of minutes. I wish they provided ceiling hooks, but it didn’t take much to buy the hooks at my local Home Depot. So far I have no complaints.

En primer lugar la sopresa por el tamaño de la pantalla. Saca la cinta de medir y checa las dimensiones de tu habitación, por poco y no cabía en el espacio de la sala que tenia destinado. En segundo lugar su funcionamiento. Nada que ver con las pantallas de tu universidad o escuela que tenias que jalar fuertemente y cruzar los dedos para que no volviera a subir de repente a mitad de la presentación. Realmente es suave y comodo de bajar, y tiene un mecanismo que hace que el guardado de la pantalla tambien se suave y muy elegante. En cuanto la calidad, si eres experto o muy conocedor, puedes ver las caracteristicas en la descripción y ver si te conviene, y si eres como yo, que apenas ha comprado un proyector en su vida, pues te puedo decir que es mucho mejor que proyectar a la pared. Si logras ajustar la imagen hasta los límites negros que tiene la pantalla, entonces tendras la sensación de estar viendo una pantalla LCD o LED de dimensiones considerables. He leido en otros comentarios que esta es una buena pantalla para iniciar en el hobby del cine en casa, los que han comprado un proyector de gama media o baja, y les doy la razón, hasta ahora no he tenido ninguna queja con el producto.

This is great, just amazing. So I bought a cheap $40 came folded screen from Amazon before this, it looked good I thought. But this looks way better, whites, darks colors everything. so my cheap screen was a higher gain 1.3 gain, but who cares, this LOOKS BETTER TO ME AND EVERYONE IVE ASKED. then the mounting:. Very simple, just if u have drywall, mount it RIGHT TO TOO OF CEILING AS HIGH AS U CAN, THAT WAY UR SCREWS HIT HIT SOLID WOOD AND BOOM IT FEELS SUPER STABLE, STRONG, JUST PERFECT. ITS VERY HARD TO PULL DOWN FIRST FEW TIMES, GUESS OIL NEEDS TO CIRCULATE, it automatically goes upvery slow,but it looks cool, everyone's always impressed. Just perfect I could not improve a thing. OK EXCEPT SHIPPING, SO IT CAME TO AMAZON I GUESS ALREADY IN A LONG LING BOX, BUT EVERYONE THROWING IT HERE THERE,ON TRUCK, STUPID PACKING, NO PROTECTION AT EITHER END, I HAD FEW INCHES OF PLASTIC THAT CAME BROKEN WHEN IT ARRIVED, OBVIOUS FROM SHIPPING. After reading the reviews, having worked in logistics for decades, I took a guess that the B in "Manual B" probably referred to it as being B-Stock, being comfortable with a few bumps and bruises, as long as the screen was good, I decided to take a chance. I was not dissapointed. The box had seen better days, with several big gouges out of it, 2 of which were covered by Amazon stickers, so the damage was definitely done prior to shipping (B-Stock style). The actual screen was none-the-worse-for-wear though, with only a few minor dents to the casing, but nothing that impeded functionality, and honestly unless you went looking for them, you'd never notice. Setup was a simple matter of taking a few measurements, lining up the display area of the screen with where I wanted the projector to be, and drilling a few quick holes. The screen pulled down perfectly, retracts slowly (which is a good thing), and looks brilliant and quite a bit clearer than just the white wall behind it. My one issue is not so much with the product itself, but with the product description, the company should probably be more forthcoming with the B-stock nature in the product description, they'd probably have far fewer upset customers and returns. All in all happy with my purchase, was exactly as expected.
