I went through a few different capos over the years, dissatisfied with all of them for the two big reasons, tuning distortion when I put the capo on so I had to re-tune every time I put the capo on or moved it. Reason two was that when I bent strings, quite often the string would not return to the original position. The G7 absolutely solved those problems. You have total control over the pressure you want to apply when putting it on. That makes a huge difference right there. You need different pressures depending on far far up the neck you are placing it. I have found with practice that I can put it on and stay pretty much in tune. Maybe adjust the low E a tiny bit, but not much. And when I bend, the strings stay in place. This is not a cheap capo, but well worth it IMO. I have to say that it's all its hyped up to be. It is easy to seat with just enough even tension to be buzz free without bending one or more strings out of tune. It's also small and doesn't have parts sticking out so it's unobtrusive. The build quality if excellent.
