I love these little waterproof speakers. Yeah, I know the wall brackets are flimsy. I don't use them. Important part is, even with my smallest power amp, they sound very good on my deck. And sound is why I buy a speaker. Face it, these are not JBL studio monitor quality, but for the price, they are way better than I expected. You get more than your money's worth. Would buy again!

this is the 3rd set i have bought. They are uncovered outdoors in the rain etc but do a great job and each set lasted 3-4 years so well worth the money. I will replace these every few years with these again!

Easy to install. I have a pioneer 100 watt receiver down the basement with a 6 cd changer. I have these hooked to that and mounted under the eves in my back yard. I love to work out back with music or just cut some trees down and build a fire and crack open a 6 pack and listen to music. These speakers handle pretty good. I listen to anything from kitty wells to slipknot and these speakers handle them fine. They sound best at a distance. say anywhere from 12 to 25 feet away. Of course there are better speakers out there, but I did not feel like spending 150.00 up for them. These sound really good for the price. If you are Extremely picky about your speakers. Go the 150.00 route. But if you like good sound and like to crank it up, you won't be disappointed with these. Update. one of the speakers fried after a couple of months. This wasn't my doing. I have these hooked up to a 100 watt pioneer system and it gets turned about 1/2 way all the time. Before I had jensen outdoor speakers with only 100 watts and they lasted 3 years on same system/ settings. Anyway Pyle does let you send them back but you have to pay for the shipping yourself and add 15.00. They basically gave me another speaker. Sounds good but I am really turned off by pyle for that. I will keep you posted if anything changes but I am removing one star b/c I had to pay 25.00 (15.00) plus 10.00 to ship. When I feel within a year they should have covered everything.

5 Stars for overall value, these sound great, with an active high end. I like the treble to be a little more excited outdoors, as these speakers will be used on my deck for low-level background when entertaining, or rocking a little harder when I'm at the grill. I like the highs to cut past the neighbors air conditioning hum, etc. Bass is good, I had to EQ the amp for a little more bass, and there's a sweet spot where the speakers just jump to life. Steely Dan, Empire of the Sun, and of course Berlin Philharmonic's Mahler 5 all sounded great on my deck. The cabinet build is not as hefty as you'd expect, but they meet the task. Such a terrific speaker in this class of speakers. Originally I bought the $62 Pyle 5.25 woofer size outdoor speaker. It was ok but lacking a bit of bass and a sense of fullness. I didn’t expect much more from a small speaker but I was curious about the larger Pyle 6.5 woofer size speaker. As well, I wanted to compare them then to the similar Yamaha 6.5 outdoor speaker. Cutting to the chase, the $85 Pyle 6.5 was much better than the smaller Pyle, easily worth paying $20+ dollars more for them, and significantly better than the same size $150 Yamaha which was almost twice as expensive. As you can see in the photos I installed the speakers in the ceiling of my workshop. Their placement added depth to the sound as the wood ceiling complemented the sound dynamics. I think so anyway. By the way I’m running the speakers via Bluetooth from my iPhone to the small $30 Pyle PDA29BU.5 200 watt amp receiver. I chose the Classical EQ setting on the amp as it adds the right amount of bass and treble when combined with the adjusted bass/treble tonal controls. I found this to be the best audio setting for all types of music when either listening to the Beatles' Abbey Road or Beethoven piano concerto number 4 played by Rudolf Buchbinder. For roughly $140 the Pyle amp and speakers are an amazing sounding deal! I also own a vintage Pioneer SX1050 receiver that I bought along with a pair of Altec Lansing model nine back in the late 1970’s and I’m not saying the Pyle is in that league, but really though, it’s a damn good solution for my workshop and worth a listen. I think Pyle makes very decent, thoughtful audio components.

Great for garage speakers. Good sound.

While the speakers themselves sound OK, but not great, my biggest issue is the super thin and flimsy mounting bracket system which as you can see in the pictures has completely rusted so badly that the paint is separated off the metal brackets. Additionally, there is a mounting nut embedded in the top and bottom of the speaker which the mounting bolts go through the bracket and into the speaker to secure it.. Both embedded nuts separated from the top of both speakers and fell inside the speakers. unbeknownst to me, Water began to collect inside the speakers eventually destroying them. You'll see others on here with similar issues.. Substandard construction, I wouldn't recommend them

Op basis van andere reviews waren mijn verwachtingen misschien te hoog. Speakers voldoen maar niet meer dan dat. Bas is redelijk al houdt het niet over. Gaat snel vervormen op hogere volumes. Hangen bij mij buiten en onbeschermd, daar lijken ze echter niet voor bedoelt. De aansluitingen voor de draden zijn niet afgeschermd. De beugels voor het ophangen zijn erg dun en de bevestiging is wat gammel

The Pyle speakers totally blew me away for superb clear sound, plenty bass and loudness for the size. Bravo to Pyle for excellent design and workmanship of these 500 watt speakers. The speakers is an excellent match with Pyle's 300 watt stereo amplifier. I bought this system for my wife for P.A. functions and music in events she is involved with.

Using theses as zone 2 outdoor speakers. They are very heavy duty and weather resistant which is great because they are unprotected on stands on our patio. We’re very impressed with the sound quality. They are great for the price!
