Samsung galaxy s5e Top notch tablet
Unfortunately a few months ago both my phone and tablet died within a week of each other. I had always knew my next tablet would be a samsung . I decided on this one . Bit pricey but i purchased with my quidco cashback i had accumulated so cost me nothing really. Converted it into amazon vouchers . Had it a few weeks now. Absolutely love it. Stunning 10 inch crystal clear screen. Perfect true to life colours. Brilliant sound quality from the quad speakers. The camera takes really good quality pics for a tablet. I was very surprised. Had no loss of wifi issues to speak off . But I don't hold the tablet in my hand to interfere with it. I have a lovely case that is also a self supporting stand when folded over. Makes it much easier than having to hold it as I cannot hold things for very long in my hands . My cashback paid for that too ! Battery life depends on what it is used for. Obviously drains quicker when on internet but even then lasts much longer than my previous tablets which have been nvidia shield . Had to have a replacement three times from nvidia with that never lasted longer than 6 months before if died. Is also better battery life than my partner's kindle fire HD. This Samsung tablet also charges very quickly compared to any tablet I have had before . Or phone. To 100% in a couple of hours. Still discovering things on this tablet all the time and thoroughly enjoying it. Samsung are brilliant quality , we also love our samsung TVs. I was going to get a new samsung phone , but went for a google pixel in the end. But it is still fully compatible with and links to my samsung tablet . I highly recommend this tablet. Not cheap but is sound quality and reliability from samsung .

Pretty good
Have it for a while now and no issues, no wi-fi problems or screen issues. It's a bit underpowered with it's CPU than most of the highly priced phones nowdays but it runs super smooth and runs any mobile game you might wanna throw at it at full speeds on the highest settings. The Super Amoled screen helps a lot since it makes things look crisp and shows richer colour. The battery lasts a long time and it suppourts fast charging so you never have to leave it to charge for long. It has 128 GB of storage (of course some of it already taken by the system itself and future system updates if you do those) and 6GB of ram so it's sufficient for many apps and the ram along with the cpu helps things run well which I already said they do but oh well. It also has a mode called Samsung Dex which makes your tablet work more like a desktop computer so you can have many windows open at once and multitask if you will. Works better with Samsung's keyboard case or just a keyboard I guess but it's good I guess, it works. You're gonna have a smoother experience with that stuff on an actual computer but this is still good especially if you're traveling or something. I used it without a keybaord and it works fine without that too. It's good for multitasking but not every app you get off playstore will transfer well to this due to the pc window like structure so keep that in mind. Like maybe a mobile game that requires your tablet to be held vertically. The window will open vertically but the screen itself won't roatate. It's a pretty thin tablet too, the only gripe I have is the lack of the headphone jack. They do give you an adapter right out of the box but it still kinda sucks. The battery is good so you'll have a lot of time to listen to your favourite whatever but I wish it was there. The S pen from the previous tablet is missing here too but I'd imagine that would just kick up the price of this by a significant amount. Since the Galaxy Tab S4 is still more exepensive than this (at the time of this writing) and it's inferior in many ways. But overall this is a really good tablet. I'm glad to know Samsung is not giving up on android tablets and this is a powerful one that's still pretty expensive to be fair but it is a satisfactory product in my view.

A class act
Very nice tablet. Finally something that can compete with the iPad if you prefer android. A big upgrade from a kindle fire HD10 2017. Very smooth performance and a lovely screen. Amoled is not quite as good as my LG C9 but it's still lovely to have at this price point. Contrast is impressive and colours pop. Slight blue tint when viewed off centre. All Amoled do this to a certain extent though. Jelly scrolling in portrait. Left lags slightly behind the right. Yes that does happen but not particularly annoying. More important for me is smooth scrolling in apps which this has. Many other androids certainly don't especially cheap Chinese tablets and even some relatively costly phones. Scrolling in complex websites is not completely smooth but it's reasonable and close to my pixel 4a phone which is about the same price. Games seem to run well. Speakers are impressive for the size. Very thin and light. Battery life also very impressive. It feels like a premium experience. If you're tired of your tablet feeling like a 10 year old phone this is a great upgrade. I'd choose this over the s6 lite too as you get Amoled and quicker processor. No S pen so get s6 if you need that.

Great tablet, great screen
Great looking device which is thin and small due to the thin bezels. The screen/display is great and probably the best thing about this tablet. Physically, very comfortable to hold - I can't see any issue using it for long periods. Fingerprint scanner can be a little hit and miss but would say it gets the job done - just don't expect a 100% hit rate. So the hardware is great and glad to say the software is decent too. Minimum bloatware from Samsung, layered over Android 9. It's fast enough for me but bear in mind I use this to watch film/TV and to read newspapers and magazines. No big games running on this thing for me. Very handy to have a mini SD card slot, have already purchased a card and stored some video on there. No problems saving/accessing the card. The only negative for me would be the battery life. It's not terrible but having owned an iPad a few years go, it doesn't compare to the Apple tablet. It's fine when in use but when locking the tablet and keeping it unused, I find the battery drain to be a little too quick for me. At the end of the day I'm only charging this thing around once a week (not heavy use) so it's fine. Heavier users may find it more of an issue. Overall very happy with the purchase. It's a solid Android tablet with a great screen to consume media. That's all I was looking for and I got it with this tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is the best mid-range Android tablet around
When it comes to mid to high range android tablets there are not many options on the market, for a while now Samsung have been dominating this market. The S5E is the latest offering from Samsung in their line of mid-range tablets. Its not a cheap tablet for sure, but it;s still affordable. It retails for around ยฃ380 for the 64GB non LTE version, however it can be often found on sale. Firstly lets look at the build of the S5E. It is quite large and features a 10.5 inch display, it weighs 400g and is only 5.5mm in thickness. This means that the tablet is very comfortable to hold in one hand, even for a long duration. The bezels around the display are very slim yet they are just big enough for you to comfortably hold the device. The device is built extremely well with a metal uni-body. The back of the tablet features two antenna bands ,a small camera bump and an AKG logo. The sides feature four speakers, a MicroSD card slot, USB type-c connector and a connector to attach a Samsung keyboard. Unfortunately there is no headphone jack, but there is a USB type-c to 3.5mm adaptor included in the box. The tablet includes a fingerprint sensor built into the power button, it works extremely well allowing you to power on and unlock the tablet in one go. At first I was worried about the durability, but despite the tablets thin body it actually proved to be quite durable and didn't show any signs of bending when it was thrown in a packed backpack. Now we get to one of my favourite aspects of this tablet the display is stunning, although this is expected of Samsung. The 10.5 AMOLED panel has a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution, and it looks great in every application. The display looks very sharp, colourful and it had very deep blacks. This makes it perfect for watching TV shows and movies. The display can also get extremely bright making it perfect for use outdoors. The lightweight nature of this tablet also makes it great for reading ebooks. The display is amazing, but what about the sound? The Samsung S5E features four speakers on the side that have been tuned by AKG, they also support Dolby Atmos. The sound on this tablet is above average but not amazing. The speakers can get loud, however there is a lack of lower end frequencies and voices often get lost in the mix. It is also very easy to cover the speakers when holding the tablet. Front facing speakers would have been preferred. The Samsung S5E wont impress you with its specifications, although it is only a mid-range device. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor, and 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The battery on the other hand is quite impressive. It has a 7,040mAh capacity and can easily last about 5 days when consuming a couple hours of video a day. It also consumes very little power when on standby. Charging the tablet takes no time as the tablet quick charge enabled is shipped with a fast charger. The WI-FI on this tablet is surprisingly good and has a better range than most other devices that I have tested making it great for streaming high quality content around the house. Do you usually take photos with your tablet? The S5e features a single 13-megapixel f/2.0 aperture lens on the back. Around the front is an 8-megapixel camera with the same aperture. The resulting photos are decent with a surprising amount of detail in dark areas and some attractive colours. However the cameras are lacking when compared with most flagship smartphones. The software is a nice addition, it runs Android 9 Pie with Samsung's One UI version 1.1, this is a familiar experience as I use a Samsung S10 as my daily driver. One UI is very clean, intuitive and uncluttered. One of my favourite features in Samsung DEX, it provides you with a desktop like experience which is great for productivity, it is even better when paired with Samsung's keyboard. Overall if you're looking for an affordable Android tablet I would consider this tablet, it is well built, packed full of features and the display is great.

Terrific Tablet!
The tablet is very light and easy to hold in one hand, plus the design looks lovely and clean. It also has a micro SD slot so you can expand the memory. It doesn't have a headphone jack which is a shame, but not the end of the world as I have Bluetooth headphones which connected with the tablet with no issues at all. The screen on this device is phenomenal, it has a 10.5" inch AMOLED display which makes it a fantastic device to watch things on Amazon Prime and Netflix. It was million times better using this on a long haul airplane flight to watch movies than using the seat back TV I can tell you. The screen also gets really bright so you'll have no problems using it outside. The speakers are really good for the price you pay and they get really loud, they also support Dolby Atmos. The battery life on the tablet has been excellent, the battery can usually go around 4-5 days without charging. When researching what tablet to buy I had read the S5e had problems with Wi-Fi, but at least for me I've had no issues with it at all and found the device has an excellent range for Wi-Fi signal. I've had no problems using Samsung One UI software on the tablet which is nice and simple to use. The tablet comes with a rear facing and front camera, but can't really comment on how good they are as I don't use tablet's for taking photos as my smartphone is a more suitable size for that. The fingerprint sensor on the device is excellent and 9 times out 10 will unlock the tablet on the first attempt. I'd have no problem recommending this tablet to anyone and think it's great value just for the display it has, never mind the other goodies it comes packed with.

Best affordable OLED android tablet presently on the market
Affordable OLED tablet, is almost an oxymoron. Especially ANDROID. But this one is the only one I could find that had good overall hardware. Samsung does produce excellent hardware. Excellent quad speakers and AMOLED screen. I am not as enamored with their software choices. But if you are not going for an iPad, because you want Android, like I do (there are specific use cases where iOS is just not usable), then this is your only current option on the market. There are other OLED tablets (from many manufacturers including Samsung) that are very good, but are priced at honestly ridiculous prices, just like in most cases the Apple products are. As for the usability, I do not have the LTE version, only the Wi-Fi version. I am very happy with it. In fact, I highly recommend it. My use case is as a consumer of services like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, and browsing email/internet stuff. I also needed something that would let me transfer files for VLC without having to transcode it (thank you apple). I am slowly using it more, with productivity, but that is not what I would recommend it. Tho, I might try the Dex system on it in the near future. The hardware is tops and has no problem giving me my movies and other videos on my hotspot or direct wifi from hotels. It is mostly configurable, tho, and this really does bother me, Bixby is the only assistant allowed when using true Bluetooth headsets, through the headset assistant hot button. Bixby button (momentary power button press) is also not remappable. Which is very annoying. Just for this, if I had known, I might have gone for the much more expensive Tab 6... but for watching movies or listening to music (the atmos quad speaker system is fantastic) this tablet does the job admirably and if that is your main use case, then I highly recommend this tablet

Looks like new.
Received today and first impression is this refurbished tablet is very good, looks new and so far is working well. I did have reservations in buying a refurbished tablet but I'm very hopeful all will be well and this will be good value for money. Delivery was quick. I know the Samsung GalaxySe5 well as I already have one bought in 2019....and I love it.
