Best glue for paper mache and collages ever!
Really great product, wish they sold it in bigger quantities! It dissolved well in hot water. I used 1 cup of hot water to 1 T product, stirred it well, then added 1 cup cold water and let it sit overnight. Feels like slug snot (hey, I live in the banana slug belt) but the stuff dries clear, is great for collages and paper mache and its non acid composition makes it archival, too.

Great for restoration
Product works very well for restoring soft paper tears, dog ears etc. First time using and I expected it to be more effective after one coat but it does require several coats for some badly damaged areas. Thatโs not a negative however because it dries fast and allows you to build up coats based on level of restoration required. Thereโs not much included for directions but a quick search using AI provides all the information needed. It does take about 24 hours to become clear after mixing so plan ahead.

A little of the methyl cellulose powder goes a long way.
Little bottle, big result. Mixed up the adhesive according to directions. It seems a bit thick which when applied on thin paper tears it. Perhaps it can be thinned without losing it's adhesive properties.

Good PVA extender
This works great extending your pva glue. Mixed as instructed it does not have the consistency you want. You need to cut back on the liquid.

Bookbinding essential
Works exactly as it should. Mix with clean water, dab it where needed, wait as needed and you're ready to go. Fine product.

This adhesive was awesome. I bought it to repair a very jagged rip in a vintage Naguchi lamp. It had been knocked off of a table and tore almost completely around the top. The top is where the lamp shade sits on the lamp base, so it's also the point that has to be the strongest. My husband had written the lamp off as ruined. Using the Lineco Methyl Cellulose, I readhered the delicate paper edges together. The repair is alost unnoticeable. When my husband saw the lamp back on the table, he thought I had managed to find another to purchase and replace the "ruined" one. But nope, with this great product I was able to beautifully repair a $500+ vintage lamp for just under $10!

Powdered Mc gets the job done
I use this product to mix with water and treat paper for complex origami folding. Itโs pretty decent, sometimes it can be tricky to dilute properly but experiment with it.

Not the best choice for archival glue
Not the best choice for archival glue. It's a bit hard to manage and smells a bit strange. I opted for a pre made glue by the same company.
