I actually bought these a few months ago. Finally, I got my boat running so I could actually test them on the water. The sound is perfect! Before buying these speakers, I looked on Amazon for a lot of products. I considered Boses, Infinitys, and JBLS. Everyone knows that all of those brands are good. I was kind of nervous about buying the cheaper speakers because I still wanted good sound on the water. I read a review on these where the author said "don't think you need to spend a lot on speakers because you don't". I bought these speakers based on that review. They are loud and sound really good. Save your money and buy these speakers. You will not be let down. They really are perfect for the lake. I bought 4 of these and installed them myself in my 84 Larson. I could hear the sound well even at full throttle on a 188 HP Mercruiser. They are running from a Sony CDXM30 which was also bought from Amazon. Great speakers, Great price. Do yourself a favor and purchase these. You will be happy. Boss is a great brand.

These speakers rock! I installed them after blowing the factory speakers in our new pontoon after the second time out... the Jensen radio put out too many watts for the 2 x 50 watt speakers that came from factory. The only issue installing these was the hole needed to be enlarged by 1/4” all around. Screw holes lined up but magnet housing is kind of bulky. But after installing 4 of these, I can’t blow these at full volume, and I don’t even cruise at 3/4 volume because these things are loud! Half volume sounds awesome and the sound quality is very good. Waterproof as well, we keep it covered unless on the lake, but we got caught in torrential rains and hail with 60mph winds soaking everyone and every square inch of the pontoon, and these things didn’t miss a beat during it. Yes, I had the music going trying to get to shore. I am very satisfied with them so far, I hope to get a few years out of them .

I had to make some minor adjustment to where the old speakers were just done some sanding to the old hole but they look good and sound great

I was looking for affordable replacement speakers for my pontoon and decided to give these BOSS units a try. They installed easily, fit flush, and so far have held up well against sun and spray. The sound is better than expected at this price point—vocals are clean, treble is clear, and while the bass isn’t chest-thumping, it’s definitely enough to enjoy music while out on the water. One minor thing: they’re not the most powerful speakers out there, so if you’re after deep bass you’ll want to pair them with a sub. But as everyday marine speakers, they check all the boxes: affordable, durable, and enjoyable sound.

I got these speakers to replace the blown out ones in our travel trailer. And the review is in. For the money they are a great buy. They can handle what the Pioneer is dishing out at 45w per channel. I will say this, they are not Bose, JBL or JL's, and I'm not pushing 1000w either, but at the race track these have worked great, and besides you aren't mixing an album out here. Plenty of bass with these, I wished they had a little better highs out the tweeters. They are also just a bit bigger than the stock 6.5 speakers I removed. About 1/4" to 5/16" to be exact. So if you are finicky and picky with what you want to hear then maybe you should buy the Bose and listen happily ever after. If you want inexpensive that works great then give them a try. I'm glad I did.

As was mentioned by another buyer: THESE ARE NOT 6-1/2" SPEAKERS! "GET OUT THE SAW"!!!!!! OK, got that out our the way. ;). I ordered a set of these to put in my friend's boat. Since I had a bad speaker in my old F-150, I decided to order two sets. I cut his holes bigger and installed his speakers first. WOW! What sound!!!! I was impressed. I did notice what appeared to be the corner of an amp as I peeked through one of the speaker holes. Either his boat has an amp or the center console acts as a huge speaker box ( or both) but these speakers sound much better in his boat than in my truck. But for the money they are not bad at all. Only time will tell if they are a good value. Only problem is now I and my friend have "over size" holes that a standered 6-1/2" speaker won't fit. I may order another set just to have as spares. My luck seems to be when you have an extra or spare, you'll never need it. It would be worth the extra money not to have to remove the door panels from the truck again....lol Recap: If these were 6-1/2", but they are not, I would rate 5 Stars because of the sound quality/price.Since they are bigger than 6-1/2" I gave them 3 Stars. Did I mention they are bigger than 6-1/2"? ;). ;)

Great sound quality.

Just so you know I was quite the audiophile in my younger days when I loved to crank it up and shake the neighborhood. Now that I'm old I just like to listen to music and be able to carry on a conversion with other people in my boat. That being said, these speakers do the job nicely. We went out Saturday, fished, listened to the radio, and drank some beer. They sound fine and are worth the money. I've also ordered a Boss sub-woofer and a couple of additional tweeters to fill out the spectrum. In all I'll have less that $250 in the entire system. I spent $1800 on an outrageous car stereo system way back in 1984. What was I thinking? Yes I'm very happy with this purchase. P.S. They look nice too!

Gran bel suono se consideriamo che le ho installate su un gavone senza preoccuparmi di creare una cassa armonica! Suonano veramente bene e a tutti i volumi. Per ascoltare musica mentre si prende il sole sono più che sufficienti una coppia, personalmente le amplifico con un jbl marine e tarato il volume massimo prima della distorsione, ho goduto ascoltando la musica mente facevo il bagno con gli amici (davvero divertente)

Good well made speakers, but as others have commented, not a straight swap for old speakers of (supposedly ) the same size - some enlargement of the original speaker hole required.
