Nikon SB-300 AF Speedlight Flash for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras

This SB-300 flash is simply amazing. Works perfectly with my Coolpix A. It is small and unobtrusive and does the job. I have the SB-910, SB-900, SB-700 and SB-600 (for my other Nikons that I use). Even though all these work on the camera, the SB-300 is the perfect size. Even the SB-400, which I had and sold, would have been too big and bulky. And, the price is right.I tested the SB-300 on my Coolpix A in a dimly lit room. It took 8 shots in rapid sequence, at 10ft, with no light falloff or recycling issue. The shots were perfectly exposed. The bounce feature was also more than adequate. This flash fits nicely in my small travel bag with camera and Kindle. Love it.

Very small and compact, much smaller than I expected so its easy to take along with you. The tilting head is great for bouncing the flash off of white ceilings for a more natural lighting to your shot. Just snap it on and its ready to go, no hassle. It works perfectly with my Nikon D5100. Good buy for the price.

Wow... This is a very small flash unit. fits in the palm of your hand. It is built very well as you would expect. It is very simple. Very portable. Just an on-off switch. I'm sure that you're paying a premium for the Nikon brand. It works well providing slightly better exposure than the pop-up flash and more distance and much better exposure in bounce mode. I am working on making a small diffuser cap for it to see how that works. I am glad that I bought it.

Not much to say except for an apparently basic flash it is plug and play. The camera knows what to do with this light, and controls it flawlessly.The big plus is it is light weight and fits into your shirt pocket when not in use.Great gift for the novice as well as a more experienced user.This is the second one, my son claimed the first one for his camera, so rather than argue a second one is in order.Very useful, inside and outdoors. Love this little flash! It's light, small and so easy to stuff into a pocket and carry. In real world use, it's quite powerful not-withstanding its modest guide number. It integrates beautifully with Nikon digital SLRs providing very accurate through the lens exposure. The battery seems to last forever, and because it uses easily obtained AAAs (two), they can be replaced anytime and obtained internationally without difficulty - no need for another power adaptor! My only negative observation is that it doesn't swivel (left or right) but does tilt upward and even backward (slightly) for indirect flash. For the price, weight, size, and versatility, I couldn't be happier with this. It's so much more convenient than my SB-800 hunker. It doesn't replace the newer bigger units, but it's a great travel flash, especially for the D500 and D810 which don't have built in flash (it's way better than the built in flash anyway).

First of all, this flash is much smaller than it appears and that is a good thing.While I enjoy my Nikon DSLRs, and the images they produce, I grew tired of lugging my DSLR, a couple of lenses or a heavy 28-300 and my SB-910 around. While it is great for portraits or certain events, I found I was breaking the cardinal rule of, "The best camera is the one you have with you." I just really didn't want to carry all that gear.Along came the Nikon P7800 camera. Excellent image quality and nice, small size.The Nikon SB-300 speedlight is the perfect complement. It is so tiny. If you have ever held or have seen the SB-400, this unit is even smaller. I love it! Now, I have a very compact camera system that I have with me all the time. I can tuck the camera and this tiny flash in my small bag and go.I always have them with me and with this speedlight, I am always able to expose my shots properly with adequate lighting.It is an excellent buy!

This flash is ideal for me because it is compact and easy to carry with you and have on the camera. I have owned several flashes in the past but they were large and bulky making them hard to carry with you and use on your camera. The flash is great when used in a dark area or as a fill in flash. The head of the flash can be rotated up and down to aim the flash where you need it. I am very pleased with it. We take a LOT of pictures of the family and they are usually in the house. As such if you use the flash on the camera you will get black shadows behind the subject. With this flash you can rotated the flash head and bounce the flash off the ceiling and remove the shadows. Even in daylight you can use the flash to make the picture better.

I understood that the item (Nikon SB-300 AF Speed light) was used. Upon quick arrival and close inspection, I observed it to be new, in excellent condition without any sign of wear! The unit paired with my Z50 and operated efficiently without any problems. I am very impressed with seller and will not hesitate to purchase from him again!!!I
