Review: Makes the sound exciting! It does exactly what is says - Holy crap this unit makes anything you plug into it sound so much more brilliant. It basically amplifies the harmonic overtones and cuts away some of the dead noise so instead of a flat boring tone from your instrument it makes it louder but really just super crisp and polished sounding, even without reverb or delay(but you can certainly add that too and it sounds amazing still). Like the difference between a completely raw sound to mixed mastered and ready to sell millions. I do live soundbaths in a dome with a projected live visual show at WisdomeLA with 360 degree sound panning and use my voice(among other things) with this and it sounds spectacular(not to toot my own horn because it already sounds amazing just on the mic with the proximity effect, but EVEN more so with this unit). Last time we had a new sound guy that didn’t do the 360 degree sound but this lovely little unit more than made up for his lack of experience doing the show. Now that the other performers in the show have heard how it sounds, everyone wants to plug into it also. Really great unit, and for the price, I think it’s one of the best value for money electronic equipment piece you can buy to elevate your live performance and recorded sound(which I will be using it for also once I figure out how to connect it to get a split take with one raw version and one version on the exciter for editing purposes), I just wish I could plug more than 2 things into it at once. I’m pretty sure there is a way with a digital interface or mixer but I’m not too experienced with electronic music equipment to have figured that out yet. I did get a 4 channel Behringer digital interface also so that I could do exactly that, but just haven’t figured it out yet. The manual that it comes with is pretty basic(because it is super straightforward) and not too many people are familiar with this particular unit to be able to help without doing some research. I could probably call the company or take it to guitar center/Sam ash for help on hooking up everything(since I also got the Behringer 3D virtualizer and graphic equalizer pro) just haven’t had the chance. Very happy with this unit, it literally does exactly what it says and I was very excited to get it. Hearing it in person is even more exciting though. Such a great deal for just over a hundred bucks or so, and super simple to hook up if you’re just using two instruments at the same time. Thank you for this it’s so great. I think the saying friends don’t let friends buy Behringer is officially over with even just with this little big guy in their arsenal.
Review: Believe the hype it's great. - I bought this due to the rave reviews. They were correct. So much clarity in vocals and every effect. Dialing it in is a bit different. Turning everything up does not give you the ultimate effect. I guess that's what the negative reviewers must have done. Take them half way and add or cut the amounts of each perimeter. You can definitely overdo it but then dial it back. The lows are more pronounced and the high frequencies are clearer. No extra feedback either. I put it first, right before my 32 x2 EQ and ran my full front of house through it. It doesn't spike anything specific when dialed in. I am thinking about one for my monitors. I have just enough rack space left for another one. I play in a solo guitar show and a 4 piece band. My break music sounds great too. Price is very affordable, so it's not a great leap of faith to try it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Where does this fit in with a preamp,eq and a power amp for sound enhancement ?**
A: You can use it after your EQ or preamp.

**Q: Does it have rca inputs and outputs**
A: There are no RCA inputs and outputs. There are balanced XLR inputs and outputs and balanced 1/4" TRS inputs and outputs for each channel. If you're wanting to hook up to RCA equipment then you'll need RCA-to-XLR/TRS cables.

**Q: How does this compare to the effect the Epicenter bass restoration line does to car audio, except for non +12v applications?**
A: Never use it for csr jus my sound and it make system fantastic

**Q: Has anyone tried 2 of these simultaneously, such as one for lead vocal and another for the final mix out the board mains?**
A: No reason you couldn't. But that means turning the bass side up after the mixer might bring too much bad into the vocal, since they've got it stacked. I get what you're going for, but I would still buy them one at a time just to get a feel for what it's doing.
As an experiment, you could run the vocals through one side, and go mono for the mains and run it through the other side.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It performs well for the value.
*by E***N on October 10, 2025*

Behringer. A name in audio processing that's been around a long time. This equipment isn't likely the best, however, it could be the best value. It performs as expected. It also has both consumer and professional (XLR) connectivity. It definitely will brighten your day as well as your audio. It separately controls bass & treble in stereo with rotary adjustments. Easier to use than a full parametric (31 band EQ). It is also compact yet fits into a rack nicely. This piece of gear is versatile enough to act as a standalone in a little used home studio or as yet another tool in the arsenal of many gear heads in a more professional environment offering still another processing option for live or recorded sound. And it's simple enough to figure out. It also has a professional AC power cord, not a wall wart found on some audio devices. The only drawback is that it may make your sound too bright in certain recording situations when played back on other devices. But that's on the user.
