They sound pretty good for the size. my old amplifier has no problem powering them. I wouldn't say the bass is lacking but indoor speakers of the same size and price point would definitely have more bass. Perfect for smaller yards or if you have close neighbors and can't really turn it up that loud anyway. This property has about a quarter acre yard and I don't have to turn them all the way up or even close to hear it on my patio. Even though the front of this house is on a main road. TWO YEAR UPDATE: These speakers are mounted on an uncovered fence post, exposed to all of the elements - 4 seasons. The cases are yellowing and cracking but they sound just as good now as new. Very happy with these. May buy two more

Speakers are easily installed and sturdy. We mounted them on side of our travel trailer, so that was important for us! Bonus is they also sound great!

These are great little speakers. I’m actually replacing an identical pair that I’ve had for many years. Full sound and very efficient.

Bought these as a gift for a friend. Installed these for him on his deck. Plenty of loudness and enough mid and low response for nice background music. These aren’t club speakers and you won’t be drowned out with bass at all. Yes they can be a bit muddy in the lows but for $120. Come on now. Have the right expectations and these will be gold. They look great and have held up during our rainy months. Time will tell how they winter outside but I expect they will do fine. This is a smallish deck area with neighbors on both sides so we wherent looking to blast sound. Just replace years of terrible Bluetooth speakers. These are connected to a receiver from goodwill and an old google audio we had sitting in a drawer. Google can do homegroup speakers so music outside is the same as it is inside. (Another google audio for the inside speakers). It’s all worked beautifully.

A solid product. Good value for the price. Very weather resistant. Relatively easy to hang. Acceptable sound. Great sound outdoors in a basically very difficult to achieve in a small package. These guys have done a good job of putting acceptable sound in a small package. If you want really loud music on an open patio this is probably not for you. But if you want to enjoy music and conversation outside together in a weather resistant package at a reasonable cost you will be hard pressed to do better than this. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Good size, nice sound and not too heavy

Replaced an old set of exterior speakers with these Yamahas and I couldn’t be happier. Rich sound with volume to spare. My backyard now sounds like a concert hall. Fire up the grill and turn up the music!

They sound okay, and they are loud, but there is very little bass. I don't think a 3.5 inch woofer can deliver, despite the Yamaha claim that there is a "dynamic bass boost". I returned them and got OSD AP 520 speakers, and saved about $20. They aren't as loud as the Yamahas, but they sound much better, and I can hear Phil Lesh play.

Great little speaker for the poolside. Great quality, look good and sound rich and full at low volume. If you’re looking for stadium volume look elsewhere, Easy to install, Good value for the money. Recommend

Bought these for my boat, but they are too large to fit in the space I planned to put them, so swapped them out with smaller ones that I was using with my garage stereo. They sound quite good and were a bargain at their “Open Box” price.
