So Far So Good
I've been using Jeunesse Instantly Ageless for years I tried this because I'm looking for a product that does the same thing for less. I figure they all use the same ingredient, a sodium silicate, to achieve the same results, tightened skin, and Jeunesse is expensive and comes in tiny vials that make for a lot of product loss at the bottom of each vial. So far so good. I'm getting the same results. Smooth under eyes. I put it on as a test and it held for 8 hours. Haven't tried it for longer but that's a good sign. I've had Jeunesse on for 14 hours and it held. An 8 hour first test is all good. I'm seeing negative reviews and I think some of those are because of not knowing how to use this. It takes trial and error to be good at this. Think of the first time you tried to put on liquid eye liner or false eye lashes or contacts. It took a few tries to get it right. This is the same. It takes practice and trial and error to get it right. Sodium silicate liquid must go on OVER makeup. If you put it on first and put makeup on top of it, that breaks it down, smears it out, and it won't work. Ditto for sunscreen and such. Put this on last. Sodium silicate works best with water based and powder foundations. Oil based foundations break down the sodium silicate compound and it won't work as well with those. When putting it on on top of foundation, stroke it into the foundation in the direction you want the skin to lift. It will always follow the direction you apply it in. Do not stroke down. If you put it on top of liquid foundation and the liquid foundation starts to smear, reapply the liquid foundation under the eyes and go again. It's easier with powder foundation, powder foundation blends more readily with the compound. The two foundations I've used this with this type of product with the most success are Smashbox water based liquid foundations and E.L.F. powder foundations. It takes practice to get the amount right. If you put too much on, it will be crusty and will look wrinkly and patchy. If you're looking crusty, wrinkly, or patchy, you put too much on. If it isn't taking at all, you probably put too little on. Add a little. You don't have to take it or the make up off to do that. Just reapply on top of what is there. Do not rub this into the skin. It's not lotion. It's not supposed to absorb. It works on the surface. Think of it like eye shadow. You don't rub eye shadow into the skin. You blend it on top of skin. This is the same. Cover as little area as possible to get the results you want. I only use this right below the inner and center eye area and stroke up. That pulls everything up I need and the thing about this is, it smooths and tightens the skin under the eyes, but it also creates a surface area that is a little more brittle than normal under eye skin. That will crease more than normal, and you'll end up with a lot of lines under your eyes you don't need when you smile if you smear this all over. So, if you only need it in a small area, only use it in that small area, don't smear it all over. I love sodium silicate under eye products. They make for great close ups in photos and look great in Zoom meetings. But. It took practice and trial and error learning how to use them. Don't give up if you gave it one try and it didn't work. Change the amount, change the application, change the foundation makeup you are using. Put it on AFTER foundation, not before. Stroke it on the direction you want the skin to lift. Just keep working at it, just like you did with any other new makeup product you never used before.

better and worse than expected...
For reference: i am reviewing the Peter Thomas Roth's instant firm eye; temporary eye tightener. I have used this product four times so far. I am a very light skinned, strawberry blonde with freckles. And i am bit overweight for my frame. I have the "normal" amount of under eye luggage that a girl collects in 54 years, and i am currently caring for my hubs, who has terminal cancer, so lately the carry-ons have turned into a checked suitcase or two. 🥹 it was both better and worse than expected... The plusses: the immediate result is awesome! It works exactly like the unbelievable videos. No exaggeration. The first time I used it, I only did one side and oh what a difference! Even my teenaged boys noticed the difference. It takes away 75-95% of all creping, bagginess, wrinkles, and it brightens up the area without weirdly highlighting it. It takes years, if not decades, off of the under eye area in just minutes! i use about a pea sized dollop and it is more than enough for one under eye area, with enough left over to put a light layer on my crows feet and/or hooded eye lid. (i have not really purposely tried it on anywhere other than my under eye area, so that is what I can attest to. However the tiny bit i put on my crows feet and hooded eye lid also had an effect, just not as drastic as the under eye.) This bottle will last a long time. It's not a very big, but i have a feeling it will expire before i can even use it all. That's a good thing, because it is a bit spendy, but much less expensive than other products that claim to do the same thing. So far, this is the only one I've found that has lived up to the hype. I haven't had any problems with a white powdery residue, as some reviews have mentioned. It goes on easy and is invisible, but I am a ginger, so my skin is already pretty white... Be sure to gently smooth it on in the up and out direction (or what ever direction you are wanting your skin to follow.) It will end up slightly pushing the skin that direction. You don't need to rub it in. Think more of coating the area in a nice even thin layer, rather than thinking it should absorb into the skin. The less you futz with it, the better it works. I used a small make up brush to apply it at first, but i think i works better just using my fingers. You can see and feel it working almost immediately. Keep your face as still as possible while it dries, which only takes a few minutes. Once its dry, you will feel a stiffness and tightness on your skin, like you feel with any kind of adhesive on your skin. It's not uncomfortable, just a little noticable at first. While it dries you can watch the bags under your eyes pretty much disappear like in the videos. It won't get every last one, but enough to really make a difference. The minuses: If you don't put enough on, you won't see much improvement, and I've found that going over it a second time does nothing, so get the amount right the first time. If you move your face while it is drying, it will kinda crack and then actually accentuate those wrinkles and puffiness it's supposed to hide. It can even make it look like you have more wrinkles. The less you move your face, in general, the longer the effect will last, which still isn't very long. Gradually it goes away. I saw it fading as soon as an hour after application. If you are smiling or talking a lot, it fades faster. I have not experimented too much with it and make up, but even powder breaks it down a bit. I need to look at some other reviews to see what works best. Also, putting on makeup around it, like mascara, can be difficult. One smudge and it's all gone. And remember to not move that under eye skin, so you can't make the "putting on mascara" face. This is not a long term solution to anything, and it is not skin care. It is just a quick fix. I would also be interested in seeing a test on this particular product, because it is not there to really hydrate or nourish your skin. It's only job is to temporarily tighten your skin to give a certain appearance. That said, i might be concerned about the ling term effects of using this daily...? Because of all that, be sure to wash it off of your face before bed. I would also add a soothing moisturizing eye gel. Overall: this is fun to try, but i can't see using it every day. But it will do the trick for pictures, or maybe a class reunion where everyone is too drunk by the end to realize you've aged quite a bit in just a couple hours. lol. I will definitely be using this for my son's upcoming wedding... I'd give it a 3.5 if i could, but i rounded down because it is kind of spendy... and really fades quickly. *Always be very careful with the under eye skin, because it naturally has less elasticity than your other skin, which is why we need this magic cream in the first place

It works but there's a big BUT - buyer beware!!!! Honest review enclosed!!
I hope there's enough character space for my review lol. OK, so after seeing this and similar products bombarding my social media, I caved out of curiosity. I was SURE the reviews were using a blurring effect. I can say that on that part, I was wrong BUT this is not a good product one bit! I have eye bags that take time throughout my day to unswell. Cold fixes just do not work for me, creams, frozen spoons, the gel patches. All of those tricks actually make me look more swollen. I wanted to find something that can help the swelling go down quickly so I could feel more comfortable in the daytime at work (since nighttime is when you don't really notice eyebags as much). So I really wanted to see if this product does what it claims and what everyone's raving about. Here we go: 1 - I used less than a pea size amount. Starting fanning myself and started to feel the tightening effect within a minute. Then it happened, I saw my eyebags start to disappear. I was in shock. I was like holy cow, this really works. It made my bags look almost non-existent and the color of it even seemed to mask my dark circles. I tried it on one eye without concealer and one eye over my concealer to see how the effects differed. It worked over the concealer but didn't tighten as nicely. I was 100% impressed and even thought I was so wrong when I doubted all these testimonies. 2 - I did not get the white beading some complained about. I am fair skinned and this left a white mask like shading on my eye area. I could see the clear difference in the color of this and my skin. I figured - fine, I could even it out with makeup on the rest of my skin. But here's where it went wrong: 3 - Not even 15 mins later, the defect happened. I read some reviews where people said the results go away if you start to make normal eye movements, Well this is 100% true. I could see my eyebags come back and they looked worse if that's even possible. The tightening feeling was still there but my eyebag resembled what a silicone boob looks like - squooshy with tight defined lines…it looked as if the bags were trying to break thru the tight barrier. That's when I was like "Ahhhh ok, there's the catch!!!" What's the point of tightening this so nicely only to have it wear off once you start making normal facial expressions? I honestly don't know how people are saying they are getting hours-long effect with this. I mean for crying out loud, some of the social media videos, the subjects have complete luggage sets under their eyes and it went away and mine aren't even half the size and so there's no way those Ad people are having all day effects when my normal bags didn't even get 15 mins out of it lol The immediate effect was beyond amazing but it does not last! I did it exactly how the instructions told me to. I wish I had the courage to post my before/after and video, so please just take my word for it! Other little things to be aware of. I don't know how people of a darker skin tone are using this because it gave me a light white mask look and I really didn't use a full pea size amount on either eye. It also feels like you have a thin layer of dried glue on your eyes (this feeling didn't bother me though). And when you wipe it off with a makeup remover wipe, you can feel that it has a chalky feel to it, so if you're expecting this to feel moisturizing, it doesn't at all. Also, if your eye tears, you have just completely ruined that eye because it literally takes off the cream in an instant and you can see your normal puffy skin. Unless I one day decide to splurge on surgery for the undereye area, I'm going to have to start embracing my 51 year old eyes because I'm finally learning, the expensive way, that there is no miracle cream that's going to take away the wrinkles and bags. I'll continue to moisturize and adjust my makeup habits under the eye so I don't accentuate my flaws as much but as far as this product goes, it's a definite NO for me. I'm really surprised at the reviews of people saying they have great all day results because I just don't see how it's possible. Good luck to anyone using it!

Best product for eye baggies!
I've been using 'Instantly Ageless' firming cream for almost 8 yrs to tighten the luggage I carry under my eyes. It instantly became a daily ritual for me. But sometimes it just didn't work correctly and I'd have to wash it off and re-apply. Sometimes more than once. Now, it's not cheap, and re-applying was wasteful. Sometimes I'd have to re-apply a second time throughout the day if I had something going on in the evening. Plus it comes in small plastic vials that always leave some of the product unreachable unless I cut the bottom off to get to it and there's always still some left that's just wasted because I can't use it all and it will dry out if it's not sealed well. So, I decided to try something else and see if I could get a similar result. When I saw a TikTok video about Peter Thomas Roth firming cream I decided to give it a try. I was down to minimal vials of my Instantly Ageless cream and prayed I would receive this cream before I ran out and it would be at least as good as IA. I panic when I think I'll be out of it, because you know, I'm scary without it! So, the cream arrived. Whew! I was down to ONE VIAL! I applied it. I fanned it. I waited about less than a minute. And it worked! It actually worked BETTER than my previous cream! It was smoother. It didn't leave a crusty white residue and I couldn't see the outline of the product on my skin as I did with IA. So far it's gone on perfectly every time. I gave it my ultimate test and slept in it (I got up about 14 hours from the time I put it on) and it still looked perfect when I got up. I probably wouldn't have even had to reapply for awhile. I love that it comes in ONE tube also, instead of several small vials. It's about the same price, volume wise, as IA, because with all the waste I had with reapplying and never getting it all out of the little vials, I believe PTR cream will actually even save me some money. The IA is a pink sort of pasty solution, which I didn't really like the texture of and it took me forever to figure out just the amount I needed. And still sometimes I got it wrong. The PTR is a clear kind of liquidy gel, if that makes sense. It just goes on so much smoother and in my opinion, lasts much longer. I know some people say it leaves a white residue. If it's applied correctly it should not do that. Be sure to shake the tube well before applying and just use a tiny amount until you figure out just how much you need. I just can't say enough good things about this product. I will never go back to my previous cream nor do I believe I will ever feel the need to seek out another cream. I hope this review will help others to find the help they seek for those nasty bags under the eyes. UPDATE: I've been using this product for over a month now and im still absolutely thrilled with it. I wish I'd found it years ago.

Saving me thousands of dollars and surgery!! My staple product
Please never stop making this!!! It’s saving me from dropping several thousands on a lower bleph. Does it last all day? kind of - as long as you aren’t sweating or splashing your face with water. It works perfectly for about 3-4 hours and then loses just a bit of its power on me. Still tightens the bags though. It took a while for me to figure out how to get this to work. Very specific small amount - around a pea size - used for both eyes. I smear it under eyes and then feather the edges down the cheek by patting for a seamless finish. Make no expressions and then use a fan with my eyes closed for about 2 minutes. Then I’m set. Important: this will not work with moisturizers or oil on your skin (that’s just by the method it works). The cleaner and dryer your skin the better. No foundation on top either. You can very lightly pat a small bit of powder on top if you need coverage. Moisturize your undereyes at night to counteract any drying.

Follow the instructions - I experimented
First time I used it I vaguely followed the instructions then soon experienced the white residue, flaking off, water made it worse, etc. I reread the instructions. Sparingly is key. Very, very sparingly. If you get white residue and it flakes badly that was too much. Period. Experiment with the right amount and I can’t emphasize enough that it’s very tiny. Once I found that right amount, a cotton ball was all I needed to wipe away excess. No flakes or white film patches. I took one for the team and put this on before the gym where I would sweat profusely. It didn’t smudge, smear or get white and gunky! While I wouldn’t swim in it, it was fine with sweat which tells me I’m OK in the humid south to use it in summer. The key truly is not using too much. It’s not a face or eye cream. It’s a wrinkle filler only. It made a wonderful difference in both fine lines and pores! Lasted all day. For the amount you use it is a great product at a great price.

Doesn’t last long
I bought this for my 67 year old mother. We watched it work in real time. Was awesome to see and it made her happy. Unfortunately it does not last long and does leave a slight white cast.

This stuff is amazing. It's O-M-G!!!
All I could say when looking in the mirror after 5 minutes of putting this stuff on was, " Oh My God" and I'm not kidding. I'm 65 in 4 months. I've taken very good care of my skin, but have been a sunbather as a teenager.,with two scars from skin cancer removal on my nose. USE SUN SCREEN AND A HAT LADIES! On my left side I have an indentation next to some crow feet coming down on my cheek bone. I'm telling you it was completely gone along with the crows feet on both eyes. Then suddenly gone, blue-black under colors and fine lines that smoothed out and turned nearly a white cream color, gone!! I followed directions to the label except I didn't use a nylon thin brush, I used my finger. I think doing that made me use too much and too wide further down on my cheeks where your blush line comes in. So, you don't want to do that because you'll have a line where the serum stops. You want that to be smooth, of course. Also, the next time I use it, I think I'll put my eyeliner on first so it goes on smoother. I put the serum on my upper lid and it actually raised my eyebrow and I could feel it lifting as it was drying. I'm telling you this stuff is amazing. If only I could take a bath in it LOL. My husband has had puffy eyes since birth. And now that he's 68 it's really bad to the point he needs corrective surgery because his lids come down too far over the cornea. I put this stuff on him and made him sit still. His was still puffy on the ends, but he was, I would say, 75 to 85 percent better, and he agreed. He actually said, " I look younger". After doing the second eye he was walking around and he said I can feel it drying and tightening up. We went to dinner and sitting across from him I was actually seeing wider eyes, it was almost funny. I bought a nylon brush tonight, on the way home, and some powder under-eye concealer to blend into my facial makeup. You can't use any water-based makeup on top of the serum, it will just remove it. Just take your time, follow the directions carefully, work with it. I'm excited to use it again. I did use a little on my forehead and it completely smooth and remove some fine lines there also, along with the lines beginning and between your brows at the top of your nose. I guess they call them worry wrinkles. Those didn't go completely away, but they lessoned quite a bit. In my opinion...this stuff is worth every penny. I did see an add for a serum that was similar. It was made by a doctor, plastic surgeon, in Hollywood but the reviews weren't really good. It was for the neck. I think it was basically the same stuff but more expensive. I would love to see this stuff sold in a larger container for your neck and I did see some for the face. Good luck! It's fun doing it on one eye and comparing it to the other.
