Shark 10" Rechargeable Floor and Carpet Sweeper (V2930)

This thing is awesome! I bought this for my 3 year old, who begged and begged for a pink vacuum, for Christmas. I know that this is not pink or a vacuum, but with a little effort, and a little more time, I was able to make it pink (see photos). Color aside, it is great. It is literally easy enough a 3 yr old can use it, and more than light enough for her. My floors have never been cleaner! She uses it every day to help, and loves that she is making a difference. Her favorite part is to open the tray and see all of the dirt she picked up! I have even found her, once or twice, making a mess on purpose just so she can use her vacuum. It holds a nice long charge, and does an amazing job on our hard wood floors with out scratching them. I don't have carpet in my house, so I was a little worried when my daughter wanted to take it to my parents house. However, not only did it work on the carpet flawlessly, my parents were shocked at how much it had picked up behind their much more expensive vacuum.Our only complaint, and I'm not sure it would apply to most people, is the charging time. When our daughter runs it completely dead, it takes 5-6 hrs to charge. This seems a little excessive considering the run time. However, we just make sure we plug it in between uses so that it's ready when she wants it.Overall this has been one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Not only have I made my daughter very happy, I have amazingly clean floors! What more could a parent want?

I LOVE my SHARK!! Yeah, it's not a detailed, deep sweep, but works great for my purpose. I wanted something inexpensive for my kids to run over the kitchen tile floor after dinner or when they serve a bowl of cheerios and 1/4 of them spill all over the floor. The Shark is awesome and does the job! 10 years ago I had a better model, but I refused to spend $70 for a sweeper that my kids might break after a few uses. So, this is the best thirty-something dollars I've spent in a while. Compared to the better model; it does not get corners very well and if you run it over a regular shag carpet it'll lose power and not have much suction. If there is a lot of small pieces on the floor it seems that you have to run it over the area a little slower than I normally like to move, but my kids are slow, so it works. So easy and effective my 3 year old looks for the shark when she sees crumbs or spills. However, even though it sounds like it doesn't have a lot of power it does pick up large and small things, it will get large pieces like lego bricks/cheerios, some small wrappers/papers and enough small dirt to make it 'til the next broom sweeping (or even hold off for a few days, hee hee). Despite this machine being used everyday I've only had to charge it 2-3 times since I purchased it 2 months ago. I would recommend it to anybody that has kids that leave crumbs on floors, like mine do ;) I would also recommend the squaretade insurance that was less than $4 for the year. If you're looking for power and detail, invest in a Dyson.

I bought this for my classroom (I'm a teacher) it worked great for about 3 months. It even picked up large objects (crayon parts, paper clips, etc.) and was easy to empty. However, the rechargeable battery died after that 3 months. It would not hold a charge for more than 1 minute before it fizzled out. Replacement batteries cost almost as much as a new unit. So I went with a corded vacuum with a spinning brush. Much happier!

The power behind this vacuum is not its selling point. If you are expecting it to clean carpets to brand new freshness, you will be disappointed. It is a spot cleaner to pick up loose debris that may be piling up around a room or two. That is all this is basically capable of, in terms of cleaning power. It is a good product though, and it works particularly well on hard floors, where deep down cleaning is not necessary. It does not get a full 5 stars only because the recharging is a bit annoying. To be so light and portable, the battery has to be very small, which means it does not hold a charge very well; you can only get a 15-20 minutes a charge of constant usage. This is okay, but the plug to charge it is actually slightly annoying to connect. It's at the bottom and not in an accessible location. You have to constantly plug and unplug this product to use, basically every time, and that process gets annoying quickly.

I really wanted to like this but the handle broke where it goes into the main unit after two weeks of light use so it is now useless. The handle won't even stay on anymore.Before it broke it was working as we'd hoped. It's light weight and nice for a quick vacuum job without having to pull our large heavy corded vacuum out. It does a decent job of pick up, but this is not a replacement for a real vacuum. Again, this would be for the quick jobs and light pick up, which is what we got it for.The collapsible handle feature was nice for getting under our two couches. I could literally vacuum all the way underneath our couch without having to get on my hands and knees.If this didn't break I would have been a pretty happy customer, unfortunately I can't recommend something that doesn't last two weeks.

U use this vacuum all the time and it is great. It is so easy to push and picks up a lot of debris. It lasts a long time on a charge and doesn't take long to charge up. You should unplug it as soon as the green light goes out which tells you it is done charging but that is no problem. It is so easy to dump the debris all out, too. Great little sweeper for the price. i tossed it in the trunk the other day and took it to help clean up somewhere else. It was very useful to get under all the tables with out moving them all.
