is there really only 12 clusters in a box for $40 bucks?

Yes. But they are REALLY good!! I think that is the going rate if you get them in Nashville (I believe that is where they are from). They are about 4" across, so not small. I never eat more than one at a time.

at the top it says 4 boxes per package- and under that it says 1 box of 12 _ so is it 1 box or 4 boxes_1 box for $25 seems ridiculous

For $25, there are 12 Goo Goo Clusters. There should be 4 boxes, each containing three. Mine were whole and fresh... absolutely delicious! Good luck... and enjoy!
