I've bought five drums so far, and have applied this across all brickwork to first floor level on my chalet-style house. It's made a big difference. One wall that was always cold in winter being exposed to prevailing west wind in shade is much warmer as the brickwork remains dry, and it's noticeable in the room that the ambient humidity has reduced. It's very easy to apply. I just used a normal six inch brush. Don't apply on a very hot day - I'd recommend applying after couple of days into a dry spell. Don't be concerned about the milky look whilst painting. It's dried clear as promised on my Hoathly Fleck bricks, which have a lot of cracks. You'll notice the way that rain beads on the surface and runs off. I've also bought the Stormdry Max product as an overcoat that I'll use on the lowest brick courses on and below the flood level. It's definitely doing what it's described to do, so the functionality of the product is apparent: the BRE certification gives assurance of durability.
