Update 04-01-19 It is still holding up excellently! No complaints! Original post from 12-26-17 This will probably be my last camera bag ever. When they made this bag, they made it to last and hold everything. I did not want a back pack which seems to be so popular. So look at the pics and here’s what I think. (By the way, I gave around $93 for this bag 12/20/17) Pros of this bag -I love that the side two pockets zip shut first then Velcro close. -I love that the big top also zips closed, then flaps down and the metal clasps are attached. It feels safe and well made. -you can move your compartments around to change the shape and size to accommodate different sized stuff, not just camera bodies and lenses. -padding seems thick and protective -heavy material and stitching looks solid. It will have to be, to hold up to the weight that this bag will be carrying -when you open the top of the bag there are two different shaped zippered pouches attached to the top. Those can be unsnapped and unvelcroed, and have a strap on the end of each. I store filters in the top larger one (you could remove these to take with you) the narrow long one I have misc stuff in it like memory cards and extra lens caps) -there is a long zipper on the back of the bag that I just discovered. I plan to move my camera manuals and misc small journals/books back there. -there are so many pouches, pockets, zippers, etc. I can’t imagine needing a larger bag. You can always rearrange and still make more room. Cons - heavy once you load it down with a lot of equipment, but duh, I’m carrying a lot of equipment. Technically I have no cons. Love this bag!! I had a nice bag for about the last 10 years. Held camera and couple lens plus batteries, memory cards, filters, camera/lens cleaning supplies. It worked fine but now that I have my second brand new DSLR and more lenses to experiment with it, so it was time to move up in bags. I spent days reading reviews and examining pictures of bags. In the end this was my top choice. Price was more than I originally wanted to spend but I could not be happier and feel like the price is well worth it now that I have it in my hands.

Best shoulder camera bag ever!
I had read all the positive reviews about how much would fit, but I was skeptical that it could truly fit all my dslr goodies. Other camera bags are always just a little too small to actually fit real-sized cameras and several real-sizes lenses. They are usually made for a smaller consumer DSLR and one or two small kit lenses. That's it. It is very difficult finding a shoulder or handled-bag (read: NON-backpack) that is big enough to fit DSLR photography equipment on the go. In this one bag in the main compartment, I am able to fit my 60D, 4 large lenses with hoods (the 67-77mm diam variety and 6-8 inches long), 2 small lenses with hoods (40mm prime, teleconverter, etc), and a speedlite flash, each with its own padded cell, plus lens cleaning supplies, extra media, batteries, and filters, all in the zip pockets inside the main compartment. And then there are still 2 mid-sized pockets on the front that are big enough for normal sized lens hoods, battery charger, batteries, and filter cases. And the 2 big pockets on the ends are big enough for small/kit lenses, mid-size flashes, macro flashes, and large hoods, The interior of this bag is very deep, which is one of its main advantages. Most bags are not tall/deep enough, so you cannot stand a longer lens on end, which makes bigger lenses take up a lot of extra room unnecessarily when you lay them on their sides. But this bag is deep enough that you could fit a capped lens comfortably up to about 7" long, up to 8" with a tight fit. As far as camera bodies go, it will easily fit Canon's largest DSLR, the 1D-X, with attached lens. A typical shoulder bag will fit a 1D-X with a lens, and not much else. But this bag will have plenty of room to spare. The materials are very high quality. Everything is thickly padded, and the zippers are large and very strong. The straps are thick, comfortable, and strong and won't be ripping on you while you're out and about. The interior compartment comes with 10 separate velcro-attached padded dividers that could be configured in just about any way you can imagine. They all come out, if that is your need. The shoulder strap is top-notch, and there are straps on the bottom for hauling around a tripod. I highly recommend this bag for professionals and serious photography enthusiasts who regularly carry a lot of stuff. It's a little big for photographers who travel light, so you might want to consider Canon's smaller bags for your needs, as they are essentially the same high quality but with less interior volume. Another 5-star product from Canon!

Great deal for a worthy camera bag
A great bag at a great price! Has more than enough pockets for all my ‘non-telephoto’ lenses and accessories, which adds up to a Canon 5D body with an attached lens, three other lenses, a flash and remote, GPS attachment, polarizers, spare batteries, camera manual, and a few other small items. It is very ruggedly designed, with strong zippers and clasps to also support the weight when carried by the handle. The material, while not waterproof, seems thick enough that rain would probably take a long time to get through, and waterproofing could be easily applied. My only issue is that all this gets a little heavy (~25 pounds) to carry on one side, but I don’t have a better suggestion. It is too large to carry the weight on the hips like a fanny pack, and a little heavy to have on the shoulders as a backpack. And I do love the convenience of having everything right there, ready to use! Other packs of similar design that appeared to have less padding and fewer compartments were much more expensive, so I feel this is a very good purchase.

Better Than Expected
I researched camera bags for my new Cannon EOS 7D for several weeks. I had just purchased the Cannon EOS 7D and it was much larger than the Konica-Minolta Dimage A2 that it replaced. The camera bag I had for the Diamge was too small for the new camera. I read many customer reviews (yes, the customer reviews are important) and from the reviews it seemed the 1EG Professional Gadget Bag was the best item for my needs. First off the photos do not do the bag justice, it is much better looking in real life than in its photos. I was afraid the bag would be too large, similar to a gym bag, but in reality it is just the right size. My Cannon EOS 7D is a large camera and with the 28-135 zoom lens attached the camera is just that much larger. The camera with lens attached fits very nicely in the bag (uses 1/2 the length of the bag). When the bag arrived I pulled out all the compartment inserts and reconfigured them into the compartments I wanted to have. The Cannon EOS 7D with lens attached fits nicely in the bag with several compartmens remaining to accommidate additional lenes I plan on purchasing over the next two years. Also with the numerous zipped pouches in the front and on the side will allow room for the extra 3 batteries and 2 spare SanDisk Extreme Pro 64GB memory cards I will purchase during this year. I like the fact the top is secured by both a zipper and secure hook latches on the front, prevents dumping my expensive equipment onto the ground. I also like the fact that the little pouches attached to the insde top of the bag can be removed, they are attached by velcro and 4 snaps. I didn't need these little storage pouches and didn't like the idea of the zipper handles hanging down and maybe scratching my camera lens or the 3 inch LCD screen on the back of the camera. I am a semi professional photographer that enjoys shooting photos and I like my equipment to be well protected as well as fitting comfortable into the camera bag. This bag fits all the expectations that I wanted in a camera bag. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone who has a large camera with several lenes and camera accessories. The inside compartments can easily be rearranged to accommidate most compartment requirements. It has my 5 star rating!

Canon Professional Gadget Bag
Five Stars is Correct and earns it Built to last Built to be used Well Planned out making it easy to use. As with so many Photographers We are always on the lookout for that perfect Bag for Me. My style of photography what I'm doing next. Yes we have our favorite that we have beaten every last nickel out of. The bag we place on the cement the wood the dirt the beach the plane boat car and so much more and still holding up. Well this looks like My next victim Well made enough space to carry on my shoulder and depending on the weight I just might put a hip strap for around my waste we will see I like distributing weight and not just touching it Bags are great for body wrecking and it's our fault the weight that is the ol Hey I got more room in this. I will just put in another. Just remember who carries this thing Well if your married ahh nah the what if. I will just carry it myself. I Do love him or her But my camera stuff ummm again this bag will last a long time and did I say straps for the tripod / monopod Again it will last but do you really want it to outlast you or body parts. Use it well use it smart use it for what it's made for and you will be very pleased Where's my description how many do you need to read if this is the type of bag you are looking for it will do mare than you ask of it. Would I stand on it or trust it to a cargo handler not on your life. It's perfect carry on did I say I also have its partner for my back if I need it

Just enough bag for just the right amount of stuff.
I'm not a professional photographer; I just think I am sometimes. I've read the salty reviews about this bag and don't quite understand them. In the main compartment I'm able to pack: Canon T6 1300D) Canon EF 10-22 Canon EF 70-300 Canon EF-S 18-250 Canon EF 75-300 Canon EF 55 Canon EF-S 18-55 GoPro Hero 4 Silver Spedlite 430EX II The bag features padded horizontal dividers so that the lenses with the shorter focal lengths can be stacked in one compartment. The camera compartment also has removal dividers (I've revived the divide so that I can store the camera body with a lens attached). I still have a xomprrment to spare!!!! I store hoods reversed in the same compartment as its lens. There're enough pockets for accessories and must haves. The bottom has straps that I use for secure attaching my monopod and tripods. If the bag were any larger it'd be unwieldy and too heavy to be practical. The bag is well-ll built. Provides security and easy access. It's professional and very nice looking.

Great carry-all bag
I bought this bag to use it to carry all my gear and to work from it from a site. I don't have a whole lot of stuff (5 lenses, Canon rebel body, speedlight, minor accessories) so this has more than enough room for me. It has enough organization features (internal pouches, external pockets, dividers) that everything has it's place and is easy to find. The shoulder strap is pretty comfortable and is curved to sit on my shoulder well. It could use some grippy-er stuff on but isn't slippery. The tripod straps on the bottom are not removable, but that's a minor issue (they are semi-permanently flat from storage so they don't dangle). The default camera dividers are designed for storage of body only, but since I'm using the kit 18-55 lens primarily, it fits w/ it (or similarly sized lens) pointed down (or up) with a grip installed. It has both a zipper and two buckles for the lid. Each on it's own is strong enough to carry the bag by the handle, so you can decide what is faster/better to use to keep it closed. As I have other bags (and a Blackrapid strap) for walking around and hiking, I can't vouch for how comfortable this bag would be loaded and carried all day. I primarily use this to keep all my gear near me when in transit or at a site (it sits on my front passenger seat whenever I drive somewhere, and is easy to grab my camera quickly).

Not as big as you would th.ink
I have a Canon 200DG which I bought to upgrade from my original Ritz kit bag which I had out grown. The 200DG was soon packed as I completed my lens purchases and so I thought the 1DG would be a natural upgrade. I was surprised, to find that though the bag was wider, it simply could not hold everything that I had in the 200DG bag. First off, the 1DG is one full inch less deep, and my Canon 100mm Macro stood on end would be pushing up the top of the bag, not something I was comfortable with. The two side pockets and the two separate front pockets on the 1DG were both smaller in width and depth, and I couldn't put nearly as much in those as I could my 200DG bag's pockets. IN fact, I found the pockets so shallow that some things like my lens filter case, wouldn't fit at all. I found the large interior pocket for the camera body completely wasteful, as it's curved pad wouldn't allow for my 18-55 lens to be mounted on my Canon 80D body and fit in the case. There are more pockets with all the included partitions in place, but those pockets are individually smaller, so sort of useless for easy storage and removal of my lenses. Now, my Canon 200DG carries my Canon 80D with 18-55mm lens attached, and also partitioned for my Canon 10-18, 55-250, 100mm 2.8 Macro, a 4-piece Movo extension tube set, and a Canon 24mm and 50mm lens sitting on top of the he other lenses, as well as a filter case, Siri micro-tripod, and my spare set of eye-glasses. In the cover zippered pocket I keep three collapsible lens hoods. In the right side pocket I keep a slave flash, charger, two spare batteries, and a flash mounting bracket; and in the left, a full-sized cleaning kit, my camera sling strap and it's mounting bracket. In the front pocket, my six-lens filter case, cleaning pad, lens tissue, a fluid spray cleaner, memory card wallet, remote release, wireless remote, and USB transfer device.... and there's room to spare! I could NOT get all these items in the larger 1DG bag! The 1DG, like my 200DG is very well made, unfortunately the larger bag is simply not designed as well. The one exception that I wished I had was the zippered pocket across the back of the bag. That would be nice for carrying a small Android Pad. I fully realize that a camera bag is a personal choice and everyone may have different preferences. Both these Canon bags are great for storage, working out of them from your car, or carrying on site where you can sit them down. They are however, not the kind of bag to work out of while walking around and carrying it on your shoulder. They're simply too bulky. I've owned several bags over forty years, and I like these Canon bags, but for walking around, I've learned to take specific equipment in a much slimmer bag.
