I have very sensitive, dehydrated skin and this product is the first thing I reach for when it starts to get red, hot and itchy. It is a no-frills essence that is just 3 ingredients: water, mugwort and a preservative, that’s it. I think that is why it is something that I can tolerate when my skin is so angry and inflamed. I use it every day now, even when my skin is calm and not irritated. It is a watery consistency that absorbs very quickly into the skin and feels very cooling and moisturizing on contact. For me, it is a great beginning step right after I cleanse that calms my skin and preps it for my serum and moisturizer. For the days when my skin is extra angry, I will put this on periodically through the day. I almost wish it came in a misting bottle for this purpose! This bottle will last you quite a while which makes is a great value for your money as well. I have used it at least once (usually two or three times) a day for the last month and I am not even a third of the way through it. The packaging overall is very nice. I love the weight and feel of the glass bottle (it makes me feel kinda bougie) but just be careful to keep it away from the edge of the sink as it will break if it drops! Overall, this has become a mainstay in my skincare routine and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has sensitive and/or irritated skin.

So I started skin flooding, and I’m not going to lie. I wasn’t loving the look of this and I wasn’t loving the name of it… Call me shallow I don’t care. I like some feng shui on my vanity. Anyway. After researching what wonders mugwort does for the skin plus it’s such a big deal on TikTok I decided to purchase this. Well. I am in love with it!!! First off I decanted it into a frosted glass bottle with a lotion pump lid. But about the product… It is watery, but has a little viscosity to it, not like a thick, milky toner, but in between a milky toner and a regular watery toner/essence. My skin just drinks it up, it has a lovely natural, faint earthy smell, it is very pleasant. It’s not sticky and I would bathe in it if I could. To think I could’ve gone my whole life without mugwort essence just makes me shudder.

Oh! My skin is so thankful. I have dry skin, menopausal & using Tretinoin. My skin has been dry & I’m quite sure I harmed my skin barrier. My moisturizer was not helping. Every skin cell on my face drank ME. I instantly felt better and was not itchy anymore. My skin is soft. On day 3 my fine lines look better. I’m ordering the 2 other products I found on amazon from I’m from. I’m so happy a Korea YouTuber recommended this for mature skin. I follow with Dermalogica Intensive moisturizer. ❤️

If you have ever eaten japanese yomogi mochi/daifuku you are already familiar with this scent. The closest western description I can come up with is an herbal-pine scent. I am very sensitive to scents/strong smells and I find this very subtle and pleasant to put on the face after it the scent largely dissipates after a while. There is no stinging and the skin soaks it up without any lingering tackiness. I was hoping this would be good for my rosacea but did not use it long enough to know. Unfortunately, I forgot to check if yomogi is toxic to cats (my cat likes to rub my face with hers when she wakes me up in the morning) and I am scared it will upset her stomach if she ingests this so I discontinued using it.

I absolutely love this essence and this will become a staple in my routine. I’m 24, super oily and greasy, and very cystic/acne prone. This product helps calm irritation and inflammation from acne. I also use this after peels and it helps take the sting right out. It’s lightweight but has some slight moisture to it, so I use this after a watery toner or by itself. It also absorbs very well. There’s no fragrance in here, but it does have the herbal mugwort smell. I used to get this on Yesstyle years ago before it was offered on Amazon, but died buying it since it wasn’t easily accessible. Amazon has now made this accessible for me, so please keep selling this brand! I will definitely repurchase and try other products from this brand for sure!

I have seen this toner on different TikTok videos and decided to give it a try. And I’m so glad I did! I love it! It’s so soothing and hydrating. It is everything content creators on TikTok said it was. I use it every day.

I received a fake one. My first order was original. The second bottle is fake because the bottle is made of plastic not glass. I am so disappointed 😢

This is a lovely hydrating toner/ essence. My skin loves it. Very hydrating and soothing.

I’m on my 3rd bottle of this and will always repurchase. My credentials? I have eczema prone, acne prone, sensitive and oily skin. Has a very faint earthy smell but I got used to it after using it twice, so it’s not offensive. Super calming (especially because I’m on tretinoin), this makes for a brilliant hydrating layer. Calma redness, hydrated skin well, helps my oil production. Bottle is glass so feels luxurious. A little goes a long way - one bottle lasts me around a month and half (daily use, twice a day). An amazing all rounder, Canr recommend it enough!
