Buy American Made, and Enjoy a great tool.
I bought this set of knives over other competitors' products simply because it is American made, supports American workers and is fairly priced. The tool handles are well made, well machined, robust and ergonomic. The blade selection is fairly complete, are surgically sharp and their geometry well designed. Blades are surgically sharp out of the box, and are easily brought back to service once dulled by simply using a leather strop. The wooden storage box is a plus. It is reasonably robust for its intended purpose, and keeps the knives well secured. Regarding the negative reviews of these fine knives, because the magnetic strip in the lid won't hold multiple layered knife blades? Come on, you're buying knives, and they are American made, and are shipped in wooden box as a bonus prize! Glue a couple 50 cent magnets into the lid if it becomes a deal breaker. Bottom line: These are a fine addition to anyone's tool arsenal, and their purchase supports USA jobs.

Decent Value, Needs Improvement
As others have noted, the packaging (wooden case and insert) are cheap. In particular the molded insert doesn't allow easy removal of the handles. This is partly because the case is a bit too small, hence there is no slack for the tray segments to be a bit more generous. More importantly, the handles do not screw down tight enough to prevent loosening during use. They may be better than X-Acto, but they're far from perfect. The size and grip of the handles is very good. The blades are very good and the assortment is excellent. All-in-all this is a useful set for someone like me who will subject them to intermittent and moderate use, and for work that doesn't require ultra precise cuts. But if you are a pro and your income depends on a knife set, there are probably better options. For which you will obviously pay more, but it will be worth it.

US made worth the $$
These are the real deal handles and not crap knockoff versions. They tighten down correctly and the blades are sharp not just sort of kind of sharp. The box is likely foreign made but seems ok for now.

Ultimately the blades and handles are nice
I really like the blades, but I have three criticisms. First, the magnetic strip that holds the blades wasn't glued in, so it fell out making all the blades fall out with it. The lacquer on the wood wasn't completed and there are unfinished spots and glooping. And the larger chisel handle didn't seem like the polish was finished. There was a large gouge in it as well. All the way down the handle which I have worked my best polish out. Besides that, everything was good, but made in america should mean something spectacular. Definitely not what I got.

MADE IS USA - Is what sold me!
These being made in the USA is completely what sold me on them! Great price! Great value! And extremely sharp. I bought them to clean up 3D prints of mine and I’d recommend them to anyone needing to replace an xacto knife or fisher utility knife!

Very sturdy blades and hold up to a lot of abuse. Included blades are heavy duty and most other sets only have thinner, narrow blades. The box is nice, but would have been better if it was neoprene etc. Can't complain though as it is a nice little box and fits well in storage containers. Got rid of all my other utility knives so I could solely use these. They work great and were a good price. Would recommend to other hobbyists in need of a good precision knife set.

Les lames sont aiguisées et la tenue en mains est agréable. Qualité correcte pour le prix.

While I have owned other pen type cutting instruments in the past, this is my first set containing an assortment of different handles and different blade types besides the traditional sharp pointed triangular blade. I would also recommend purchasing a proper cutting mat to accompany the set for safety and to save your tabletop or floor.
