The first package of two was fine. When I opened the second, I was immediately greeted by a MOST disagreeable odor. On inspection, the contents were coated with a white substance which I suspect is mold or fungus of some type. My dogs won't go near them when I place them in their dish. I bought some of these from another source a couple years ago, but stopped buying them from there because the bags were mostly full of crumbs, instead of bite-size bits. I assumed, incorrectly, that buying them directly from the supplier would produce better results. Lesson learned! They're not soft as in chewy but inbetween and though the dogs love it they seemed to really go nuts over crunchy ones. My neurologist has a dog in his office that is the fussiest eater I have ever encountered but he loves the Yummy Chummies when I brought them. The last time I was there I forgot them and he greeted me expecting his treat. He kept watching my purse in case I was hiding them.I love that it is made in the USA and from natural sources. I live in the Northwest and we know that dogs love salmon and it is good for them.
