Great Truing Stand
I'm currently working on a motorcycle restoration and rather than spend $250.00 to have a shop true and balance my wheels, I decided to do it myself. Luckily this was on sale for $38.00 instead of the normal $77.00. It's still a good deal at $77.00. The installation instructions were good and easy to use. Had it set up in 15 minutes or so and then I was on to truing my wheels. Worked great and I'm even doing a set of wheels for my buddy. This is a must have if you want to do it yourself.

Nice stand
I was a bit worried when I ordered this stand as I've never heard of the brand and the price was pretty low. When I recieved the stand I was happy to find that it is well made and works perfectly. The bearings spin very free and smooth which is likely the most important aspect of these stands. It is very sturdy and the balance bubble and truing indicator are nice features other stands may not include. I could have made one of these myself but for the price I paid it would have hardly been worth it. If you are looking for a stand to allow you to balance MC wheels this one does the trick.

Very nice product - Check Bearings
No issue with the product. Well packaged and shipped. Instructions could use a list of devices. Also one bearing needed the copper seal to be pressed all the way in on one side which I did with a light tap using a common screwdriver and small hammer on the area that needed to be pushed in all the way. The copper casing was rubbing on the washer but after the light couple of taps now the bearing is working as designed.

I found the source of the oil on the box.
The bubble level for the base was crushed sometime prior to me receiving the stand. The plastic bubble level should have been package in something more sturdy than a stupid plastic bag since it's stuffed into a box full of heavy metal parts. This situation should be easy to foresee and should be planned for. I ordered this to help me balance the new tubes/tires this weekend for the used CRF300L I just purchased. The order arrived Thursday, 9/5/24. According to Amazon, a replacement will arrive on the 10th or 11th even though the original (broken) one was shipped back on the 5th. Poor customer service from either Amazon (unlikely) or RMATV/Tusk (more likely). Other than that, and prior to assembly, it looks/feels well made, and packaged well. …except the bubble level. Update: The stand was delivered sooner than expected (Thanks for great customer service.) and assembled. The quality seems great except the bubble level (mentioned above) and the bearings (mentioned by others). Regarding the bearings: They just don't have enough friction between the rod that your wheel is placed on and their surface to overcome the friction of their own internal lubricating grease. Since there is such low friction between the rod and the bearing surface, the stand will still function as intended. Assembly: Assembly was straight-forward and quick, though slightly out of order. Prior to installing the bearings, you need to install the truing pointer assembly. Also, the installation of the truing pointer/arm is a little tricky. I slid the backing plate into the arm and screwed in the bolt from the bottom. The threads were coarse enough to get the threads started using only gravity to hold the backing plate in place while threading. A long screwdriver or socket extension would do as well. You'll understand when you do the assembly. Storage: I suspect that several of the components, like the axle rod and bearing surfaces, will rust over time if left untreated/protected in a humid garage/shop environment. If you are a DYIer like me I suspect that disassembly, coating certain parts with something like WD-40 and storage inside a plastic bag would be your best plan to keep everything in good working order. In the hopes someone from Tusk and/or RMATV bothers to read this... I need to get the bike (new to me) registered. In order to do that, I have to have insurance AND pass a safety inspection. In order to pass the safety inspection, I need to replace the tires. It would be nice to perform a tire balance and check the tires for true when the tires are installed. Your poor packaging, coupled with poor customer service is adding a week to this process for me. There are real world consequences when you fail. Update: Someone involved provided great customer service. The balancing stand arrived on the Sunday prior the the scheduled day of Tuesday. Thank you.

Very easy to use, great quaily material
Just changed 3 tires out when we got this in. It went together easily. It seems sturdy and strong. It was very capable of having my 15" and 19" motorcycle tires on it. I didn't use the "truing" part of this stand, so I can't say anything about that. But it does a good job at balancing tires. It paid for itself the first day I used it. I balanced the first tire in 4 minutes and only took a couple of minutes with the other 2 tires. I have never balanced my tires before. So, for the first timers out there.....when you add weights, start with the heavy weights and then add a smaller weight if you need it. When I did it the first time, I put the light ones on and had way too many weights on the rim. Then I realized I was using the light weights first. Very easy and a great tool to have for the DIY motorcycle/shop guy (or gal).

Nice old school balancer
I bought this to balance and true my wheels on mine and other motorcycles. I have a 2004 919, and a 2005 vtx1300s and it works for all of it. I have balanced and trued Harley wheels as well. So much cheaper to change, balance, and true your own wheels. Works as intended. Even has adjustable feet for uneven floors. You will need a set of allen keys to use. And watch a video or two about how to balance and true your wheels. Easy to use.

Excellent
VERY Good product. I am surprised that I find the marks on the base useful. The youtube video sold me. The only change I made was I went to the parts store and used allen head bolts and same size washers for the bearings. I'm going to find the "open" bearings they recommended in the video. The bubble level had a piece broken out of the flange, but I glued it back together using Q-Bond. Now that I've had it for a few weeks and did my upgrades it's pretty good. it takes some fiddling to keep the shaft from walking, there are two ways to do it: 1. Fiddle with the bearings, which is what I did. 2. Use the level to change the angle so it doesn't move, which is what I should have done. I've tried the ones that try to be a balancer AND a truer. The one I had bent where the truing rods were.

Works exactly how it should. Simple use. Great product for the price. I have only balanced a couple tires with it so far but works great!

This product arrived in packaging that had been beaten up significantly -- both the Amazon and OEM packaging was damaged, ripped, holed and sloppy. I was concerned because it is a precision measurement tool...not a good omen that it came in destroyed packaging. The product itself is excellent. The engineer who designed it should be scolded for not taking the time to provide the bolt, nut and key sizes required to assemble it so you don't have to do trial and error to figure it out. No instructions, but it is straight forward. When assembled, it is solidly built and really easy to balance before use. I used it to balance the wheels for a BMW F850GS Adventure, and it worked perfectly. The wheel rolls for a long time, making it easier to find the light point in the wheel. The truing arm is ok, but the adjustment on it makes it challenging to get the needle exactly where you want it. Overall -- A good product for what you pay for it, and would recommend it despite the negatives.
