Speedy and simple!
Purchased this plan for my teenage son’s first iPhone. Got the opportunity to cash in on it two weeks later… 😂 Asurion made it easy to file the claim, gave me no hassle, provided a shipping label, and paid with an Amazon gift card within 24 hours. I’ll be getting another Asurion plan for the replacement phone! lol

Assurion was very prompt in handling my claim. As soon as they received notice of receipt of the returned phone, they issued my refund with no problem.

Not a repair or replacement service…
UPDATE:Aug 20,2022 Got two emails in two weeks saying they ordered a part and they would send and update in “a few days”. It’s been two weeks since the first one. I’ve tried to contact them via chat and email with no response, chat hasn’t been working. Calling is hopeless as it seems they have gone down hill and everyone is needing to call them at all times of day so the wait time is outrageous! Lowered to one star until they fix this issue, then it will possibly go to 3-4 stars. Originally left a 4 star review due to past experiences, no so anymore. I’d just like them to send a gift card and be done with it, if even be willing to buy a new warranty to give them another chance as previous experience has been great. I personally like how this works. You do not have to wait for your phone to be repaired or for the company to decide whether or not it’s worth just replacing. If something happens to the phone, even if it’s your fault because you dropped it, they will send an Amazon credit for the amount paid. Sometimes it actually works in our favor too. This is the second phone my son has dropped and broken. Thankfully we purchased this coverage and we were able to get a new one. The price has actually dropped a lot so he was able to upgrade from an iPhone 7 to and 8 with double the storage. Last time it was the opposite, he had to pay $40 more plus new coverage. I wouldn’t purchase a phone or any tech without these guys! We have coverage for my sons phone, my Fit Bit, a nice book bag and a few other things. I highly recommend this coverage for people who drop stuff a lot like my boy and I do or anyone who just wants some extra peace of mind for a decent price. To file a claim I just followed the few steps online as prompted, printed a mailing label, wrapped it up, boxed it and dropped it off at UPS. We had a credit by the next morning! I thought it’d take a few days but as soon as it was on the way we got out credit. Again…THIS IS NOT A REPAIR/REPLACEMENT WARRANTY!!! They send you an Amazon gift card credit for the price you paid for the item, there’s no money back or repairs. I personally have no problem with that but I know some people do, so be forewarned. I do wish that we would be able to use the credit on other websites sometimes. We found the same iPhone 8 on another site for about $50 less with a 2 year warranty, not including accidents. Other than that it’s a great deal for us, it has probably saved us a thousand bucks or more over the past several years.

Highly recommended
Asurion has beena good value tome for years and continues to improve its service. I buyinexpensive electronics (phones and laptops) which can alsobea great deal, but sometimes thisgs go wrong with less expensive / newer start-up brands. I can buy with greater assurance that I will be reimbursed for failures in design / execution. Also, accidents happen, and for me, I sometimes break, drop or spill something on phones and computers. I am as careful as possible, but maybe because I spend so much time online, I am prone to some mistakes. The extra insurance as been an important tool for me to keep me connected and able to communicate using this life-enhansing gear. As noted, Asurion seems to be improving customer service lately. The return pocess has become easier to manage on the website, through a PC. The interfaces are better than ever and show signs of truly upgraded change, not just design alteration but functional improvements. I am grateful to all the Asurion staff who provide this valuable service product. I do not automatically buy Asurion coverage for every product which offers this protection, but it is because of such descretion with money that I do find this a worthwhile purchase.

Fast, easy service, new identical plan went up too much
I did the whole process online, it was fast and easy, just upload a picture of the damage and go drop off the phone. The Amazon gift card for the price of the phone purchase arrived in my email very fast, faster than I expected. I used it to buy another of the same phone. The only gripe I have is the price of a new protection plan, it's gone up $20 since I bought it last, that's too big of a price increase for the same plan in that short of a time.
