EasyCut 2000 Safe Retractable Box Cutting Utility Knife, Yellow, 09700

Works great. Love the additional tape splitter that other versions seem to lack. I’m also glad it doesn’t have that dumb auto-retract feature that other similar blades have. I remember having one of these at my last retail job that was annoying to use because it would auto-retract while you were cutting if there wasn’t enough pressure or friction to hold the blade in the thing you were cutting.

PROS: Holds three blades efficiently (including the cutting blade). Ease blade changes. Adjustable to three depths of cut, and locks. Easiest (IMO) to operate in a fast paced environment safely. Has box edge guide built in (really don't use this feature, but has it). Holster easy to attach to belt, or as I do, clips on pocket...always ready to use, and stays clipped and doesn't fall off. Very lightweight. One of, if not THE best SAFETY cutter I've used and seen (and have used MANY in my 40+ year career of needing this type of too. Last but not least, for a lightweight tool...this thing has been dropped quite a few times and comes out swinging each time. CONS: Only con over my 5 year experience with this box cutter is that the cutter itself over time can slip out of the holster when carrying, but has a tether that keeps it with you. Summary: I have had quite a few of these safety cutters, and I always find myself going back to it. Sure,there are better cutters for really heavy cardboard, carpets, etc. But I cut boxes, plastic wrap and even zip ties and plastic binding all day and it does great. It's the safest I've used that actually does it job and does it well. Too much wording on a $10 box cutter? Probably. But because it's so easy and efficient to use, I had a little extra time :) Oh, make sure you purchase the right blades for this unit. They are not standard box cutter blades...a bit smaller. But they are very available on Amazon as well.

Not the most durable product, so I keep a few on hand. It is the best option I have found to get my job done quickly. I ditch the holster and just stuff it in a pocket. It can be quickly pulled out and with one easy squeeze it is ready to go. I have tried fancier box cutters but they slow me down. The others look prettier and are sturdier but the trade off is ease and quickness in deployment and use. If you are pressured at work to get the job done quickly this is your best pick.

Worked stocking for several years this is light weight. Very accessible can change the blade height for different types of products and the love that the knife closes when I let go of handle cant find blades no where in stores just online have broke 2 but definitely get my moneys worth and they get my continuous return

Useful item in cutting cardboard

This is the but and most safe knife I have ever used. Walmart uses these as one of their options with the blade retracting automatically. And has lasted a long time. I have had it for at least 2 or 3 years and is still functioning well.
