Remember that in case you were planning on making up a normal recipe of Creme Brulee because you will need another 6-8 of these or must use other items. The flame thingie is first rate however. We loved using it and it's easy to use. Get the stuff to fill it from your hardware store (easy to find), fill (easy) then burn up the sugar! Follow the directions and you will have perfect sugar on top. We found nice instructions off YouTube. Lovely. It's a fantastic set. Just know that the servings are, um, not big enough because the ceramic containers are rather small and not very deep. As the other reviewer noted, the brulee cups are the flatter oval ones seen with the more expensive "Bonjour" product. However, I consider this a feature, not a bug. For those who love creme brulee, this is the more classic presentation, and a shallower custard with more surface area for glazing produces a superior dessert. The torch has held up fine for us, and seems quite similar to the more expensive versions, so I will have to give it a full 5 stars.
