Worked as expected using a DC 5v/2a external power supply
3YR UPDATE. Product is still going strong, after years of heavy use. I've seen no degradation in video quality or change in performance. Note: I'm also using an external power supply as explained below, which may be helping my experience, but ... The following original review from 2020 still applies: Iโll update this review if anything goes south. I read a few reviews of the product behaving poorly and dying early. I had a very different experience myself, I was pleasantly surprised. Full disclosure, I had on-hand a 5v/2A generic power brick Iโd been using on another HDMI 6x2 matrix, so no need to use the USB power supply - maybe thatโs why this worked so well for me? I bought this for a typical reason: Multiple HDMI game consoles, but TV only has 4 HDMI inputs, one is taken by my sound bar, one is used with my laptop when needed, one for my STB, so only one port left for consoles. I bought new high quality HDMI cables to use with this unit. Install was pretty straight-forward, plug in my power brick, run one HDMI to the TV, run the other HDMI to the consoles. Remote came with no batteries but I found the auto-switching worked perfectly to make it fire up whichever console I turned on. Turning on my Nintendo Switch and my PS3 will cause my TV to turn on and change input to the HDMI splitter, but for some reason my XBOX 360 wonโt. I think maybe the console doesnโt support sending whatever signal is necessary? I didnโt test to see what would happen if you turn on a 2nd console while one was already on, I typically turn off consoles when Iโm done. No issues seen when turning off one console, then turning on another. Anyway, video is clear as day, full HD, no artifacts, sound is great too! This solves my problems in one small and relatively inexpensive shell. I was surprised by how small and light it is, seems pretty cheap. It looks like this same unit is rebranded under multiple different names on Amazon, so I expected it to be problematic. Surprisingly not! Iโm going to run with it and hope I get a couple years of usage at least.

Best 4K UHD HDR 18.5Gbps 60hz HDMI 2.0 Automatic Switcher on the Market!
Yes the title's is loaded but when I was looking for a good switcher, I really wish more people mentioned more, then "Works Great." Anyway ever since I got a 4K tv I have been trying to find a good switcher that actually does the job, and is automatic. I use this in my gaming room, and its for my Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, and Nintendo Switch. It has not been an easy task to find a switcher like this. The two switchers I tried before, both advertised as being 4K and suitable for 60hz, and 18.5Gpbs. However the first switcher I got, did NOT support HDR for some reason, so I returned it and tried again. I got a second switcher from a different company, this time it DID work, sort of. If I manually switched it to the proper input it would work, but for some reason it would not detect when the Xbox would turn on, just nothing, if I forced it to switch it would work, but I have this switcher in the heart of my setup and manually switching it was something I really needed to avoid. Enter this switch. This switch is the PERFECT solution, it detects and switches to the right input, without me having to do anything but turn on the console. It fully supports HDR, and YUV 4:4:4. The only tiny critique I have is that it does not support Full RGB, it has to be YUV 4:4:4, 4:2:2, or 4:2:0. Full RGB is not really something readily supported on anything other than PC graphics cards I believe. However the PS4 Pro does, Automatically use Full RGB if your TV supports it. In this case, if the PS4 is sending the Full RGB signal, the picture will cut out frequently cut out. This is not really an issue anyway since PS4 games, even the ones designed for the PS4 Pro run at 4:2:0 consistently. This is a perfect switch, and if you don't know anything about RGB, HDR, or YUV thats fine. I can't imagine you'd need to for this device, it works perfectly with everything 4K I have thrown at it. Just know that if you are having picture issues with the PS4 Pro, or even Xbox One trying changing the RGB to YUV 4:2:0 and it should be perfect.

It switches! (ref. to my previous review on the HDMI Splitter - "It splits!")
When I saw this brand listed on Amazon I was a bit confused as to how to pronounce it. I eventually landed on Say-gur. Doesn't matter how one chooses to say it, though - the talented people behind this brand are who matter! This brand of electronics has now found its way into my setup TWICE! First as a three-port HDMI switch, now as this FIVE-port switch. When I build out my setup, I'll have two ports going spare for the moment, which is fine. :) Thing is, mine is probably not the most advisable setup for true cinephiles, because I connected the three-porter to the five-porter with the HDMI Splitter by avedio Links in the middle - which allows me to play on both my smaller computer monitor and my big TV simultaneously - but the noticeable lag is MAYBE 0.01 second's worth - that is absolutely negligible and I can't even tell on which output that happens - and testing out Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, I can conclude it doesn't figure negatively into my gameplay or really anything else - and positively, it gives a fast echo effect to the sound that makes it seem more sonorous, which is good for theater-style movie watching. It helps I power everything up, I think. :) Cool aluminum for heat dispersal! Proper routing for strong, seamless signals and automatic signal selection based on new or existing signals. That describes both switches I've gotten from this brand quite well. Best thing for convenience? Unexpected but welcome - the remotes that comes with the switches operate on the same wide-effect frequency, meaning back at my chair I can just point and shoot and both come on at the same time! I can choose which one turns on - I've got my Xbox One X hooked up directly to the new switch if I want to use that - by physically blocking the IR signal (invisible, but it's definitely there!) with my hand in one direction or another at the head of the remote! (This is just a personal preference, but I do turn my switches off when I'm not using them, to prolong their overall life.) Great stuff! Thanks - this is definitely my HDMI switch brand of choice.

Works as it should, solid metal case and weight to prevent slipping
I purchased this switch with a $10 coupon which brought the price down in line with the cheapest, plastic 5x1 switches listed on Amazon. So far, so good. All connected inputs functioned properly and switching between them was easy. The case is metal and weighted, which makes positioning it in a cluttered a/v set-up much easier. It won't slide around on you. The 5 inputs are all in a row on the back, which makes cable management less of a pain as well. The output is on the side, which makes things a little trickier, but not by too much. The included 5V usb power cord comes with an adaptor, but can also be easily used by plugging it into a USB port on your TV, further saving some clutter. The remote is simple and intuitive and functions properly, although I probably won't have much use for it since I won't have more than one device on at any given time, and the auto-switching works flawlessly. Even without the coupon, I'd say spending a few extra dollars on this over the cheaper plastic-housed switches would be worth it for most set-ups. If for some reasons you want your inputs wrapped around all sides of your switch that's another matter, but this solid, metal rectangle does exactly what I wanted at a price I was comfortable with.

Good, not great.
Have used this for the last 3 years, the remote never worked well, and the auto switching usually worked well, sometimes getting stuck on the wrong input. Iโm sure the auto switching issues are from some of the devices turning on in the background and confusing the switch. My main issue however is I have been getting HDCP errors more and more with this device. I have some older devices plugged into the switch which is probably related, but now I have to unplug the switch and plug directly into the Apple TV when trying to watch through certain apps completely negating the point of the switch. I cannot use Peacock or HBO while going through the switch, and Disney only works half the time.

Great Switcher, Plenty of Ports
I have multiple HDMI electronics and wanted a switcher that had a remote so I wouldn't have to manually change the input when the so-called automatic ones wouldn't switch. Pros: Easy setup. Plug one HDMI cable into the HDMI port of your choice on the tv to the box. Then, plug in your devices to the switcher in whatever order you want. Has 5 ports to choose from. In-Between: Remote does have to have line of sight to the switcher for it to work. So, you can't hide the switcher and expect it to work like some rfid devices. Over-all: I have no cons for this device. I bought it for my bedroom because I have a wall mounted tv that does not give me good access to all my HDMI ports. I had a 3 port automatic smart switcher but after a couple months, it would not always switch over like it was supposed it. This one does have a smart switch and even turns the tv on when I power up a device connected to it. But, if i have multiple devices on, I can easily switch between them with the remote. I liked this one so much, I bought another one for my living room.

Doesn't work with Roku Remote Volume control for LG TV.
I have 2 of these exact models. One bought a year ago and works great on my bedroom LG TV. This one keeps switching inputs when using Roku remote to turn the living room LG TV volume down. Used all the different remote LG remote codes and all change the input. Also used the living room Roku remote on the bedroom LG TV and previously bought, same model HDMI Switcher, and doesn't affect the input switching at all. It only affects the newly purchased HDMI Switch box. While this model looks identical to the model bought 1 year ago, the maker changed this somehow and now it's not compatible. Their website support is useless. The tech support page comes up empty and only a foreign/overseas phone number is available. I don't have time to play email tag so it's easier to just send this back and buy from another brand. To bad, judging by the first one I bought a year ago, I thought this maker was quality with a good product. Now I know better with luck of the draw quality and no USA Tech support. This will be sent back which I am very disappointed in having to do after having such good luck with the first switch box. If I could had talked or chatted or even read a tech support Q&A page of why this might be happening, maybe the problem could had been resolved. All I can do is guess that they cheapened the programming of the switch in which now makes compatibility with any thing very questionable. ** "Well I decided to exchange the switch box for another one hoping for a hardware defect. This newly exchange one did the exact same thing. Whether using the Roku Remote volume controls or the LG TV Remote Volume controls, when ever I turn down the volume, the switch changes from input 1 to input 2. This switch was suppose to make using the electronics easier for my wife which it does not now. I may as well just use the televisions HDMI inputs. Really surprised that this new 2020 edition of this model is even selling when it's incompatible when using a LG TV. Guess both switches will be sent back due to a design flaw which is a shame as the 2019 edition of this exact switch did not have this LG TV volume down problem with switching the inputs." **
