Black No-Scratch Web Belt

This thing rocks! I was able to get rid of all my other belts because this one out performs everything I've got. No more of those buckles and I'm a little chubby so they used to dig into my skin. But not anymore this thing is great no buckle just Velcro, easy Peezy!

I bought two of these. The first was XL to use as a method of securing me to my weight bench when sitting upright and doing decline chest presses and flys from weight machine. I liked it so much that I bought one to fit me for daily wear. I'm 6ft w/ 32" waist. The 29"-32" is perfect. Keeps my pants and shorts from slipping down. Good for hiking pants, too, since it doesn't bind. No metal buckle to jam into you. The velcro will wear out eventually, but I'm not using that often. And the price makes this a worthwhile purchase.

I bought this to wear under my backpack waist belt, where a belt buckle is inconvenient at best or painful at worst (I wish someone made good hiking pants with a drawstring waist and 36" inseam). I found that it works best under my pack waist belt if I fasten the belt, then slide the overlapped section around to the back where it can lay flat and isn't under the pack buckle. Bonus: since the size is basically infinitely adjustable within its range, it still fits perfectly even after you lose a couple pounds on the trail. The belt is very flexible and lacks stiffness, so you can't hang much more from it than a knife or it will want to roll over. It works well for what it's meant to be, and at this price, how could you go wrong? It is a little trickier to put on than a normal belt w/ buckle, depending on where you fall in the size range. If you need to overlap the entire fastener strip like I do, it won't all fit between belt loops, so you have to fasten about half of it, then slide the belt around and fasten the rest (or you could just fasten it over a belt loop I suppose). I got a medium, and have about a 33" waist. This is perfect, because it means the full 9" of hook and loop overlaps itself, and none of it is exposed. As others have mentioned, it isn't the softest stuff in the world, and I think I would find it annoying if it were exposed and my arm was brushing against it. It would also tend to snag on other Velcro or the sorts of fabric you wouldn't want to come into contact with Velcro (like the mesh bag for my Anker battery pack). So buyer beware, this could probably ruin a nice sweater in a hurry, but on the other hand, why would you be wearing a nice sweater with this belt? Someone mentioned that the belt wanted to pucker a little where the hook and loop was sewn on, mine did that at first but seems to cure itself after some use.

Finally a belt with no holes for the pin that goes into those holes. The holes typically wear out making the belt useless for your size. The holes are placed at about one inch increments making it difficult to find the correct tightness. The pin of the buckle may fail or break if in a hurry especially if it's cheaper metal. The belts with the closing flap that secures the belt tightly are a little better. But the buckle may be too wide or too thick causing it to dig into the skin or muscle of your stomach. Basically torture. The pin style has the same issue. This new type of belt with no buckle and velcro instead does not have any of those issues. It is lightweight and it is comfortable with no buckle digging into your skin and muscle.. The velcro seems very rugged and the industrial type of Velcro. I don't really know how long repeated use of Velcro will make this thing last but it is reversible. So it's basically two belts in one much like the other type of belts with buckle that you can reverse. If you use one side one day it's a good idea to use the other side the next day maybe mark it somehow that way you know which side to use one day versus the use of the other side on the next day. By doing this you will prolong the longevity of the belt. I felt like buying three of these just because what the material they do eventually wear down. I'd rather have a belt that doesn't have as many problems like the buckle style belts and I would also prefer a belt that is more lightweight and comfortable. The only thing you really have to do is make sure that you get one in the correct size. The skin and muscle on your waistline will be thanking you because you will no longer have a built with a buckle that digs into them. What a relief! Life and it's inventions should be relatively easy and stress-free the company that made this belt had that idea in mind. (Update the Velcro is not as industrial as once thought and sometimes not effective) You have to line it up perfectly while trying to make it tight and and trying to keep your pants up. I need a tailor for my pants, it seems like my pants are almost always one size or two sizes too big no matter how well I try to measure myself or see if the pants are going to work. Going to a tailor asap. Im probably some weird size that doesn't exist

The belt to me has a light grip. I have been looking for a soft belt to wear if I sleep with my shorts on. I like it for this reason. Also it is very adjustable because of the extra slack of velcro it has.

The belt is ok. Seems well made. It works to hold pants up, but it's too thin for me. My belt clip retractable key ring doesn't hold tight when I'm pulling the key ring to unlock a door and the whole key ring flies off the belt. I got a different brand no scratch belt that is thicker leather. It holds the key ring tight with no issues of coming off.

Great brlt perfect for my line of work as I work on vehicles all day and don't have to worry about scratching/ damaging the paint. Was a little upset the it started coming apart, but didn't realize i had purchased the belt about 3 years ago. Definitely got it's worth. Ordering another one today.

I hate wearing belts, but losing weight has forced me to get re-acquainted with them. I started searching for alternatives to the traditional belt, and really wanted something that lacked a buckle, and more importantly, the excess "tail". I discovered a series of belts designed for mechanics and other folks where buckles become a liability, and eventually stumbled upon the Loopbelt. Not only is it plain and simple, it's also attractively priced. I was a little concerned that the velcro wouldn't hold well, but I've been quite impressed with how well it works. It's yet to slip, or come undone on it's own, or get hooked on something, it just works. An added bonus is that it works no matter how you put it on. I'd have given it a full 5 stars but for 2 minor issues: - the velcro seems too stiff, and wrinkles near the stitching holding it to the nylon. Performance doesn't appear to be affected, but it makes it look "cheap" or poorly made - the exposed velcro takes some getting used to. Unlike most velco, the "loop" side isn't very soft, it feels closed to having 2 "hook" surfaces. No matter how you thread the belt, there's usually an exposed section, depending on your girth and size of belt. I find my arms occasionally brushing against it. It's not uncomfortable, but I wish it was either softer, or had a means of covering the exposed velcro.

I’m a technician and this belt is great because will not scratch the paint work of the vehicle.

Light and easy for clearance use at immigration checkpoint as there are no metal in it. Secure once in place, but micro adjustments will need more effort

Wear it skateboarding so I don't have anything solid sticking into me when I inevitably take a hammering. However, the belt is quite stiff compared to a normal belt, removing most of the advantage of not having a buckle. Be better if it was softer.

Love this belt. It hold strong and will last long (not the velcro). Once the hook and loop has worn out, all you have to do is sew on some new velcro and it is back to new. Perfect for any activities where you do not want to worry about leaning over and scratching something.
