The soy is labeled as an actual ingredient. Soy is added because it is cheaper than whey. Whey comes first on the label and soy second, so whey is the dominate ingredient. The label does not state the percentage of soy or whey. Food manufacturers are not required to state the percentage of ingredients. It could be 70-30% or it could be 51-49% whey-soy. **Q: It says to rBST, but does it have rGBH?** A: Bovine somatotropin (BST) is a protein hormone naturally produced in the pituitary glands of cattle. Monsanto developed a recombinant version, rBST, by using a genetically engineered E. coli bacteria.
