24" Straight Edges

Was perfect for the job and high quality . Also cheapest one I could find .

I purchased this product to be used as a set of circular saw edge guides. They work perfectly. I highly recommend them.

A tool this good I would usually buy 2 of them if the price wasn't prohibitive. I gave this tool it's own nail in my workshop. See attached pic. I won't be misplacing it any time soon. Note: This is made out of aluminum. If you want to bend it/ruin it, you can. It is thick enough that you won't bend it with normal use. Be careful and it should last you for decades. JD3

Made out of good quality aluminum. It is of a good thickness so not to bend easily. With only a .001 inch deviation it helped with my measurements to the bell housing to pressure plate. It is good and square, make sure you wipe off any oil on it to maintain slip resistance, didn’t slip on me when I was using it.

Pretty straight at a good price; note that the surface edge is flat but there seems a little bend. Handle carefully as it is not the harder material (steel) typical measuring instruments.

I bought this Jan, 2022. I don't use it every day as I'm just a hobbyist, but I have used it now for multiple projects. At this price point it almost "too good to be true". I haven't found any cons, yet. The only thing for me is a question of durability. The big pros though so far; - Accuracy. It has maintained square the entire time. This includes a drop off the bench. I don't baby my stuff, but I do try to take care of my tools. So keep it free of sawdust, rust, etc...I do need to oil it though. - Imperial and Metric. I use this all. the. time. I haven't found another product that has both. It seems like they are all one or the other. - The hash marks for measurement seem to be etched rather than painted on. That should also lend to durability. - Looking into the groove of the main body I see that the ruler actually rides on a couple of slightly proud "rails". I'm guessing that they did this for precision to achieve a proper 90 degree square, and to make it more rugged than steel ruler on aluminum frame. I'm hoping this will also lend to longevity of the product. I've considered "upgrading", but I'm not sure what I would choose. Starrett, perhaps? But since I make use of both imperial and metric measurements I would need the $100+ combination square + the $30-40 metric ruler too.

Work great for setting up differentials and measuring pinion depth, very well made.

It is a stout straight edge. It is flat, straight and has a bit of weight.

Bought this to test cylinder head straightness, ships quick and it's well built. Only gave it 4 stars cuz I wish the edges were sharper, so I can confirm if I'm sitting the ruler straight on the head and not tilting it sideways.
