Ryobi R18SOI-0 18V One+ Cordless Soldering Iron (Body Only)

This - a cordless soldering iron - is one of those "it might be good or it might be rubbish" ideas. and it turns out to be brilliant - as good as a mains soldering iron and many times more convenient. It heats quickly, appears incredibly well made and does exactly the job it is designed for. The only minor downside is that the instructions could explain the flashing LED for heat up/cooldown more obviously. This, plus the 18V heat gun mean I can do my electrical maintenance work anywhere!

I got fed up with cheap Chinese crap peddled on Amazon, I already had a Ryobi kit, so I decided to spend a bit more and buy this. It is excellent and heats up quickly, and it even has an auto shut-off function. It's very stable on the bench with a battery attached, and I have no problem recommending it.

Very nice, works very well, heats up quickly, compact enough to take anywhere, so good for working on the car, in the shed, or at the kitchen table without having to trail extension leads everywhere! Obviously you will need the correct ryobi one+ battery, so that's either an added expense, or a bonus if you already have one. Has built in power switch and light to tell you if it's warming up, cooling down or ready to use. I like it, very good. Good price and quick delivery.

I bought this for some outside soldering in my workshop and it does the job there. It is of course nothing like a proper soldering station. There is no way to regulate temperature / heat power, but given the price and the fact this is a power tool brand, it is a good product. Not for professional soldering of PCBs but great for DIY PCBs, thin wires etc.

Wow, I could have never imagined how easier a cordless soldering iron had made the jobs I have been doing. Not having to find sockets, and even being able to use this at the side of the road has been a godsend. It heats up and cools down quickly, and I have plenty of batteries as I use the Ryobi One+ system for all of my other tools. No downsides at all, I couldn't be happier.

Im on a mission to have all the Ryobi gadgets ! This one didn't disappoint. Have used it for several hours it gets up to temperature esily and is at home with delicate electronics or heavier cables using lead free solder which sometimes is a bit of a pain to reflow. Its compact to store off battery and is a good addition to any service kit which uses One+ system. Right Im off to buy the one+ dust extractor, Ill let you know

Initially it was fine. Now I've used it a few times, even with a fully charged 5Ah Ryobi battery, it seems to only heat properly further up the tip and you need to use the side of the iron to actually melt solder. Seems great, though with no control of temperature, since it's cordless but not as nice as I'd hoped. Hence it drops two stars.

It’s Ryobi. The product speaks for itself. As with all my Ryobi products (I have quite a few now). This is another brilliant piece of kit. Heats up in under 60 seconds. Gets very hot the soldering is so fluid using this. Could of supplied a sponge to clean the tip. Very good price. Would highly recommend.

Ich bin immer wieder überrascht was die sich abseits der Standardtools so alles einfallen lassen. Verarbeitung & Haptik einfach gut, wie von Ryobi gewohnt. Da riecht beim "Unboxing" auch nix nach billigem Chinaplastik & für alle Arbeiten in Haus & auf'm Hof einfach genial. Das Teil ist razfaz heiß, schnelles Blinken steht für's Aufheizen, wenn die Arbeitstemperatur erreicht ist hat man Dauerrot & nach dem Abschalten blinkt es langsam bis keine gefährlichen Temperaturen mehr anliegen - das war's. Alles verständlich durch ein Pikogramm dargestellt, ohne ein Wort in irgendeiner Sprache verlieren zu müssen. Gehört zusammen mit der Heißklebepistole & dem Handsauger definitiv zu meinen Lieblingstools. Für's Elektroniklöten aufgrunde der fehlenden Temperaturregelung eher nix, kann man bei diesem Preis auch nicht erwarten - ansonsten, einfach Klasse ! Eine Registrierung bei Ryobi bringt übrigens eine kostenfreie Garantieverlängerung auf 3 Jahre.

Ottimo saldatore da utilizzare sporadicamente ed in situazioni parricolari o posizioni scomode e distanti da alimentazione di rete domestica. Raggiunge la temperatura di utilizzo, che valuto sufficiente per la maggior parte delle applicazioni, abbastanza velocemente e si dimostra maneggevole e comodo. Io lo utilizzo con le ottime batterie Milwaukee da 4 Ah, da me gia possedute, tramite un apposito adattatore. Altri commenti sottolineano l'assenza del vano spugnetta ed é vero che manca la possibilitá di regolare la temperatura ma in un'oggetto portatile, a batteria ed economico come questo é normale. Io lo ho acquistato al prezzo in offerta di 49 euro che giudico conveniente. Attualmente lo si trova a poco piú di 60 euro ma per chi ha vera necessitá di un simile dispositivo posso consigliarne comunque l'acquisto.
