It's beautiful, sturdy, end grain, smooth, multi-purpose and fair priced. There was no visible glue. They are individually hand crafted so mine was a little different than the picture shown. Mine has sguare edges instead of the rounded, and the rectangle blocks are lined up instead of the zigzag brick design. But it doesnt matter, the pattern is still so beautiful and l hope to have it for years to come.
