Da Vinci Natural Bamboo Cutting Board, Large 15.7 x 11.8 Inch, 3/4 Inch Thick

I love this cutting board, it's the perfect gift for my father, who's a chef. Ours is just so beat up, and things need replacing eventually.....I only gave it 4 stars because it wasn't as big as I had hoped....our cutting board is much larger than this one and I am afraid if I give him this cutting board for Christmas, that he'll think it's too small and won't want to use it.....I guess we will see what happens

Ok, it's a bamboo cutting board - yes, it's made where they grow lots of bamboo. That makes one wonder about just how well made it might be. At least the one I got is great. The material is laminated without any noticeable voids. The cutting surfaces are nice and smooth / flat. It cleans up nicely with soap and water. Bamboo is a very rugged material, it holds up well to cutting. The board is fairly thick, so it does not dance around the counter while you are slicing and dicing on it. It's a good deal at the normal price. Ummm ... they *do* go on sale from time to time ...

Great size, beautiful, nice weight.I couldn't afford a butcher block type board but really needed something new and this is just perfect.Too many boards out there are too thin or have too many "features" that turn out to be useless or make the board hard to clean. This one is sturdy without being too thick to lift and the size allows me to prep multiple ingredients on the same board. It's easy to clean and, while I do rub a little oil in occasionally, the upkeep is pretty minimal.It sounds silly, but this cutting board makes me happy every time I use it.Came in perfect condition!

Packing was good, board was in new condition. I've been using it for a couple months now and it hadn't cracked( live in a try climate and wooden cutting boards tend to crack if you don't condition then) despite using it several times a day. It will strain if your cutting beets or berries because it's a lighter color but doesn't bother me.

I love the size of this cutting board, and the fact that it doesn't have a ridge around the edge makes it very quick and easy to clean. It's large enough that I don't worry about juices running off the sides, or food tumbling over the edge. The bamboo seems to be high quality and thick enough that it will help prevent the board from warping or splitting, while also still being lightweight enough to move around the kitchen as needed. I will update this review if I have any severe issues with the board as I use it, but so far, I'm impressed!

Good price for a basic bamboo cutting board. Good for a everyday cutting tasks.I wouldn't use this if you're going to be cleaving meat though. I put some pretty big gashes into it while chopping some chicken bones.

Nice size, but poor quality finish. The board looks nice in its package, is a nice size, thick enough etc. But as soon as the wrapper is taken off, low quality finish, rough, edges in particular are poorly finished and started producing splinter material just from running my hands over the board. It went straight back to Amazon.I was trying to replace a nice bamboo board i purchased at Whole Foods 12 years ago (when bamboo cutting boards were a new item) It lasted well and certainly is better at its ripe old age, than this poorly finished product.I will keep looking for a suitable replacement

Nice and solid, Big enough to chop on without taking over the counter. Still had a bit of glue smell. Had to wash it a few times and set it out in the sun a few days before it was fully cured and ready for use.
