Silhouette Cameo 12-Inch by 24-Inch Cutting Mat 2 Pack

UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM!! Old: Love it and makes life so much easier with stuff longer than 12in but wish it was more sticky! I feel like it's not as sticky as the 12x12 mat and it's not gonna last as long? Idk I could be wrong! Working great so far! New Update: however I love the 12x24 mats—- you’re new methods are absolutely ridiculous!! I could not even use the mat because you sent it in a circular tube which bent it all up instead of mailing it FLAT in a box! Absolutely ridiculous!!!! Third Order Update— they Mail in flat box again! Comes perfectly flat! Works perfect, absolutely no issues! I find other reviews to be completely unfounded. This is not counterfeit lol this is the real mat! Sticky works completely fine! My only complaint from past orders has been fixed and they’re shipping flat again. I’ve ordered numerous times and have used Each Mat from each order HUNDREDS of times for MONTHS on end without issue. In fact in 2020 I only had to purchase twice! 2 mats lasted me a year. So again got some pretty unprofessional people buying this cause there’s no issues!

This works real good. About a medium tacky. Not sure why people are complaining about this 12x24 pad. The original 12x12 pads that came with my cameo were too sticky... The only complaint I have is putting the plastic protector back on it. The cost is a little high, but it is worth it. They will last a long time... Not all vinyls have to be cut on the mat. Your printable vinyl "yes", your heat transfers "yes". Your solid color vinyls can be cut without a mat... Oh, One thing I have learned. DO NOT peal your project off the mat... Peal the mat off your project... Have a happy time being your own creator...

My wife finds the larger Silhouette matts useful for things like wall vinyl and t shirt transfer material... apparently the 12 x 24 sheets are cheaper overall- and guys lets be honest: we are grateful when costing comes into the woman's crafting vocabulary. It takes up a huge amount of space when cutting but the lady is happy. Strangely she had ordered two at the same time which arrived in separate boxes... one box was about 14 in x 14 in x 3 in and the matt was nicely and gently padded in a fold in that space. The other arrived in a space shuttle. Just kidding. The box was about 22 in x 18 in x 15 in. And there were enough air bag packaging things to keep Dark Helmet and MEGA MAID happy. Over. Kill.

This worked perfectly for my needs. I have only used it a couple times and I don’t see needing it a lot so I’m not worried at all about adhesion. The only thing that concerns me is getting the protective covering back on each time. For this use I didn’t need to take it off all the way so I was able to flip it back up easily. Not so sure I could get it on well if I had to take it off more or all the way. It would be great if it was attached at the bottom or a little sturdier to all re-placement in the correct position each time. Can’t really comment on durability yet, but it seems to be of good quality.

We bought our Silhouette in order to make some custom vinyl templates for acid staining concrete. Figuring we needed the mat as part of the kit, we bought this as well. While it works great for my paper projects, we found that it's simply easier to send the vinyl through on its own. The sticky surface was enough that it interfered with our ability to pull up the negatives with the transfer paper. Maybe we're just new at it, but it was definitely far easier to just put the vinyl on the concrete and then use the transfer paper to carefully remove the negatives. When we used the mat, we had problems with the letters and numbers sticking too much. As I mentioned before, there were no problems like this with my paper crafting, but something about the repositionable vinyl made it too eager to stick.

It was time for another one of these, I had used my old one for a couple years now. But of course I didn't throw out the older one, as I save and re-purpose as many things as I can. No I am not a hoarder. Because of the size I was so afraid that they would try to roll it up to ship -- like I got the first one from Silhouette America. Nope, it shipped in a flat box and had all kinds of protection packaging as if it was glass. Some would say overkill, but not me as I don't want any bends, wiggles, creases nothing on my cutting mats. Amazon is my go to store for just about everything, but of course I do look at prices. This mat was half the cost anywhere else. With my Prime membership I got it in 2 days, free shipping. So same product, cheaper price, free shipping, can't beat Amazon.

Trust me! Having the longer mat is worth it! I have found that even though much of what I do is small stuff, the 12x24 gives me the flexibility to make a larger cut without having to worry about running off of the mat. I've made plenty of things without using the cutting mat, and have had a lot of issues ensuring depth and speed are correct so it doesn't tear itself apart. With the longer mat, I'm not concerned about any of that. The adhesive backing that extends the entire way down the 24 inches ensure that what I'm cutting doesn't shift or slide during cutting. You have to be honest with yourself. There is nothing worse than wasting 2 feet of perfectly good vinyl because you didn't get it lined up correct or your depth was too deep. Just spend the extra couple of dollars and get something that will last through all of your projects, not just a few of them.

If you use a Cameo. You gotta get this. Time saver. Game changer.

El tapete es de muy buena calidad es muy útil, es de muy buen tamaño y cumple muy bien su función. Es un poco más grueso que el tapete que se incluye con la cameo 4 que es la que tengo y se tienen que ajustar los parámetros de corte para que no deje marcas de corte en el tapete y así evitar que se dañe en un corto tiempo pero en general funciona muy bien.

This is my second one in 3 years so lasts if used with care. Has i do well decals this matt is a must
