This product worked great for my full grain leather backpack, and is easy to apply.
Bick 4 Leather Conditioner This leather conditioner has a thin, runny lotion-like quality and is easy to apply. The chemical like scent is faint and didn’t overpower the full grain leather scent of my backpack. I applied the Bick 4 to a brand new full-grain leather backpack that was starting to dry out a little due to the extremely hot summer. I had the backpack sitting in its original packaging in the closet for months. I used a clean, soft cloth and applied a small amount at a time of Bick 4 section by section, then lightly wiped over the complete section so that conditioner was evenly buffed in. The color did get a very light shade darker due to the moisture of the product, but it went back to its original color. Note: Although the upper backpack pocket on the comparison pick is lighter than the bottom pocket treated with Bick 4 that’s still drying, it’s lighter than it should be because it was losing it luster due to the extreme summer heat. The completed conditioned product picture is the shade it should be. 1hr 15mins later the backpack was finally done and looked great. This product works as described and is easy to apply.

Excellent, Wax-Free Leather Care That Doesn't Darken Color!
I've been looking for a quality leather conditioner, especially for some of my lighter-colored boots and bags, and the Bick 4 2 oz. bottle was the perfect size to try out. My Experience I put this product to the test on three different leather items to see how well it worked: A pair of old, light tan leather boots that were looking really dry and had some scratches. An older, dark brown leather wallet that needed a good conditioning treatment. A white leather handbag that had picked up a few minor smudges from daily use. How I Used It The 2 oz. bottle is small and easy to manage, which made the process clean and simple. The liquid itself is thin, like a light lotion, so it soaks in nicely. I gave the bottle a good shake, just like the directions say. I poured some onto a clean, white cloth and rubbed it into all three items, making sure to cover the entire surface. I let it sit for about 15 minutes to fully absorb. Finally, I took a second, clean cloth and buffed the leather to finish it off. The Results (Why I Love It) No Color Change (Huge Win!): This was my biggest concern, especially with the light tan boots, and it passed with flying colors. The leather's color stayed exactly the same, it just looked richer and much more hydrated. If you have light or colored leather, this is a lifesaver. A Little Cleaning Action: It did a surprisingly good job of getting rid of the light surface dirt and the minor scuffs on the white bag. If you have really heavy dirt, you'd probably need a dedicated cleaner, but for regular upkeep, this is all you need. Soft and Supple: The dry boots immediately felt much softer and more flexible—it really restored the moisture to the leather fibers. The old wallet feels supple again, instead of stiff. Perfect Finish: It dries to a natural look. It’s not overly shiny or greasy at all, and there was definitely no sticky residue, which is something I've dealt with using other brands. Final Takeaway If you need a reliable product for your smooth finished leather and you want to be 100% sure it won't change the color or leave a waxy buildup, look no further than Bick 4. The little 2 oz. bottle is a great way to start, and it truly is an excellent all-in-one product for keeping your leather looking its best. Highly recommend!

Works great! - Easy to use! Excellent leather conditioner!
It works great! See the pictures of before and after. This conditioner goes on really easy and does not leave a residue. I wet my rag with it and slathered it all over my boots really generously and they soaked it up quickly. It was easy to apply because it is not thick or greasy. When I first put it on, they were a little darker to begin with, but I let it dry for 20 minutes and then wiped the boots off real good with a clean rag and now they look better than new, and they went back to being lighter brown. This type of leather shows scuffs and scratches easily and now they are gone! Just wipe it on very generously, let it dry, and buff! It's like magic! I love this stuff! I highly recommend this product because it really works and it is quick and easy to use!

WORKS PRETTY GOOD ON LEATHER JACKETS BUT...
First impression after applying and buffing it in: 4.5 stars. Why not 5? There appears to be some area not brought back to life. It may need several applications. Pros: This product is not waxy or greasy and my leather jacket received it very well (I have a "naked leather" jacket which means it does not have much processing or chemical treatments and the leather retains a natural matt finish and is very soft). It doesn't have shiny chemicals it makes things look like vinyl. It allows the leather to retain its natural look It doesn't smell Cons: It may not clean as easily as it advertises. Label says "conditions, cleans, polishes, protects". It will need some additional applications to meet these promises. Seems more fluidy than other products I've used and may be why I have to use multiple applications. As a product for leather jackets, it conditions but isn't as rich and dense as I would have liked it to be. Overall it is working but I will need to spend some time and more applications for it to fully restore. Still it IS a good product!

One of two essential leather care products
I like leather products, and I like to take care of my stuff, so the right leather care product is critical. I've used a great many over the years and have settled on two as being clearly superior: Bick 4 and Leather Honey ( Leather Honey Leather Conditioner, the Best Leather Conditioner 8oz Bottle ). They are quite different from each other. Bick 4: I'm pretty sure this stuff is what North Beach Leather used to sell under their own name. It is a lanolin/oil lotion that really works. I use it bare handed, and my skin feels soft and good afterwards. It doesn't darken leather, and it cleans as it works if I wipe it up before it is all soaked in. I've used it on my wife's old Chanel purse, an Armani jacket, and some Coach gloves. In every case, it did exactly what I wanted, making the leather softer, more suppler, and feel great. It is easy to wipe Bick 4 off of areas it is unwanted, like plastic or metal. Leather Honey: Leather Honey has a unique effect, making leather somehow feel denser and more hydrated. It is hard to explain, but it is very different than the effect of more lotion-like products, and I've tried a lot of them. On my favorite ten-year-old leather jacket from North Beach Leather, Leather Honey soaked in quickly in certain spots, and I added some more. After two hours, there was nothing to wipe away. The already heavy jacket feels heavier, better, and the results have proven to hold up and add more rain resistance. A new black leather feels more supple. A pair of black Ferragamos appear less abraded at the toe. Brown Sebago deck shoes certainly got more supple and soaked in a lot. The color darkened. That brings me to the three small caveats: 1) Leather Honey is not a cleaner. Since it isn't water-based like lotion products, dirt stays. For example, on the Sebagos, an area that was a bit dirty was just the same, but the leather under it was clearly treated. 2) Leather Honey doesn't evaporate on plastics and rubbers, nor does it wipe off that easily. A day after treating the Sebagos, the soles still had Leather Honey on them, now somewhat sticky. Obviously I should have done a better job of wiping. 3) Leather honey can and will darken some light leathers. Which one should you use? I use Bick 4 for thinner leathers, or ones for which darkening would be a problem, or if I'm trying to clean and condition in one step. If the words that come to mind with the leather you're treating are "soft," "buttery," or "thin," then use Bick 4. Its effect won't last as long as Leather Honey's, but it works, and it works beautifully, doing just what you want a leather conditioner to do. I use Leather Honey for thick leathers that I want to feel more like high quality leather. Think cow hide over lamb skin. I make sure the leather is clean, and use Leather Honey if water resistance is important. I use Leather Honey if the leather is really bad, because it does more than the Bick 4. I use it when some darkening wouldn't be a problem. Leather Honey makes all leather more, er, leathery, and I mean that in a good way.

Easy to use
Really good conditioner. My first time using a conditioner this and a horsehair brush is all you need. It runs white but drys clear. Can use minimal and have great results. I can see myself using this for a year or two before repurchasing.

Buy it! Your leather will thank you!
This product works wonderfully. We had construction in our home that left a dust film all over the furniture. Despite using a different leather cleaner, our sofa still looked faded and dingy. One wipe with this product and everything looks new again! It does not discolor the furniture but it does brighten and condition as promised. I intentionally used it one part of the couch and not the other and the difference is clear.

Good Product but leaves a Satin finish
If you are looking for a leather conditioner to help dry, cracked furniture, this product works great! This conditioner left my leather couch more pliable and soft for a fair duration. This conditioner did not affect the color of the couch. The only problem I have with this product is it leaves a Satin finish, I was looking for a product with a "wet look" finish.
